I had a wonderful week in a magnificent, warm, and very comfortable gîte in the heart of the Ariège mountains. A huge thank you to Marie and Damien for their hospitality, kindness, and helpfulness! Passionate about nature, they shared so much about the local flora and fauna with us, always accompanied by fascinating stories and explanations. And when it comes to cooking, they truly excel: we enjoyed delicious meals all week! The hikes were all superb, with the magnificent autumn colors as a backdrop, varied landscapes, and some fantastic wildlife sightings (marmots, mouflon, chamois, vultures, bearded vultures 🤩). All this under sunny skies all week: how lucky! A feast for the eyes and countless photos to take throughout the hikes. Lunch breaks, always in stunning locations, were also an opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and even take a little nap in the sun! Pure bliss! And the little spa bonus mid-week was perfect for relaxing after several days of hiking. A trip that combines everything we love: beautiful hikes, discoveries, a friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and moments of relaxation. Thank you to Marie and Damien for this wonderful break in the Ariège! I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to discover the Pyrenees in an authentic and welcoming setting.
