    This first stage combines gentleness and challenge, ideal for immersing yourself in the Alpine landscapes. After a gentle start from Chamonix, the first section to Les Houches serves as a warm-up, with moderate climbs and descents on rolling terrain. The ascent to Bellevue marks the first significant effort, offering breathtaking views and the entrance into the Val Montjoie, a wild and unspoiled valley.


    The Col du Tricot, the highest point of the stage, is crossed without major difficulty and rewards hikers with a breathtaking panorama. The descent towards the verdant and peaceful Miage valley offers the opportunity for a well-deserved lunch break.


    In the afternoon, the crossing of the village of Contamines-Montjoie, typical of the Alps, leads to the ascent of the famous Roman road.

    This historic trail, carved into the rock, adds a touch of adventure before reaching the Nant Borrant refuge, nestled in an exceptional natural setting. A night in the refuge is the perfect way to end this day full of discoveries.
