    Mountaineering

    Beginner
Mountaineering is a demanding sport; consequently, there is no "beginner" physical level for it. If you have never mountaineered before, you can aim for an intermediate or advanced level.
    Intermediate
For fit hikers who wish to experience the high mountains. No specific mountaineering skills are required; the crampon work is straightforward. Guides are on hand to provide instruction and ensure your safety. The daily elevation gain generally ranges from 700 to a maximum of 1,000 meters.
    Confirmed
For those who engage in endurance or mountain sports (running, cycling, trail running, rock climbing, trekking, etc.) three or more times a week. You are capable of hiking for long hours in the mountains and ascending around 1,500 meters in a single day. Ideally, you have some prior high-altitude experience (such as walking in crampons), though this is not essential if you are in excellent physical condition. To aid acclimatization, it is recommended to go mountain hiking in the days leading up to the trip.
    Advanced
For those who regularly practice endurance or mountain sports (running, cycling, trail running, rock climbing, trekking, etc.)—at least four times a week. You are capable of hiking for over eight hours in the mountains and ascending between 1,500 and 2,000 vertical meters in a single day. You have mastered crampon techniques. Prior mountaineering experience (ascents or ice training) is mandatory.
    Expert
For those in excellent physical condition who regularly engage in mountain activities (rock climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, etc.): you have mastered mountaineering techniques and are capable of undertaking climbs rated D or higher.

There were 5 of us, the guide took us at a steady pace and we were able to easily climb the Vincent pyramid and Punta Gnifetti on the second day. Two beautiful 4000-meter peaks.

A beautiful spot for glacier hiking. There was a thunderstorm in the evening, but the weather was great the next day. After someone had to drop out on the first day, we ended up with only three people, including the guide. Make sure you're fit enough before signing up; it's more enjoyable for everyone when the pace is right.

A lovely hike, but not very technical; the high rating is unjustified, it's a bit like a highway. Beautiful scenery and a very comfortable refuge.

Good morning,

Thank you for your feedback! We are delighted that you enjoyed the scenery of Monte Rosa and the comfort of the refuge.

This summit remains a classic high-mountain climb, which explains its popularity on the trails. The difficulty rating takes into account the altitude and the changing conditions of the glacial environment to ensure everyone's safety, even if the route may seem easy in fine weather.

We hope to see you again soon on slightly more technical terrain for your next challenge!

I went to explore one of the highest mountain ranges in Europe, nestled between Switzerland and Italy. Up there, the air is purer, the silence deeper, and every step requires energy and concentration. The glaciers, ridges, and peaks of Monte Rosa offer a magnificent landscape of eternal snow and raw rock.

The weather wasn't on our side for this trip, so we had to postpone it by a day (as suggested by the agency). Similarly, at the summit, we weren't able to fully enjoy the view, but the mountaineering experience was definitely worth it! The guide was excellent, the refuge was superb, and the setting of Monte Rosa was magnificent.
