In a few words

The most beautiful trekking route facing Everest , with three passes at over 5,000 meters altitude ... Ideal acclimatization before tackling Island Peak, 6,189 meters , Nepal's most famous trekking peak ! From Lukla , we set off on an exceptional trek: the "Three Passes" of the Khumbu . At Namche Bazaar, we leave the Everest Base Camp trail and enter the Thame Valley. We cross our first pass, the Renjo La (5,350 m), and admire a magnificent panorama of Everest along the way, before descending into the Gokyo Valley, famous for its lakes and its immense glacial tongue, at the foot of Cho Oyu (8,201 m). We then cross the second pass, the Cho La (5300 m), descending into the vast Khumbu Valley and reaching Everest Base Camp and the famous Kala Patthar (5600 m) . Next, we tackle the final pass: the Kongma La (5535 m), facing Makalu (8481 m) and Ama Dablam (6812 m), before arriving in the Imja Khola Valley. The ascent of Island Peak (6189 m) provides a spectacular finale to this adventure amidst the highest mountains on Earth!

Flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
    Day 1

Note

You are currently on a high mountain trekking route. Please note that the guide, as the person responsible for safety, reserves the right to modify the program at any time if safety conditions are no longer met (weather conditions, snow cover, health or fatigue of a participant, etc.).

To alleviate congestion at Kathmandu airport, Nepal's civil aviation authority has decided to operate flights to Lukla from Ramechhap airport, a 4- to 5-hour drive from Kathmandu. To avoid the inconvenience of a long road transfer in the middle of the night on Day 3, as well as the risk of flight cancellations due to bad weather, we have chosen to guarantee the air transfer from Kathmandu for the outbound journey, as planned in the program. If the plane is unavailable, we will travel by helicopter, an additional cost that we will cover entirely. The return journey from the trek will be by plane from Ramechhap, with a road transfer back to Kathmandu.

This trip is combined with the "High Route to Everest" trip (ref. NEVCHUK-ATA). This trip offers exactly the same itinerary, except for the ascent of Island Peak, which is replaced by the (more accessible) ascent of Chhukung Ri.
You may therefore find some travelers registered for this trip among you, without exceeding the maximum number of 12 participants.

For flights to Nepal, we use scheduled flights between Paris and Kathmandu. You will primarily fly with Qatar Airways and Oman Air, airlines with which we purchase a block of seats (allotments) departing from Paris on certain dates to guarantee you the best fares and flight schedules for as long as possible. Depending on availability at the time of your booking, we may also offer you other airlines. There are no direct flights to Kathmandu, and all airlines make a stopover (in Doha with Qatar Airways, in Muscat with Oman Air). We pre-purchase a block of flights departing from Paris with these different airlines to guarantee you the best fares and availability for as long as possible. Departures from certain regional cities are possible upon request and for an additional fee. IMPORTANT: This information is provided for guidance only. Depending on availability at the time of your booking, the airlines may differ from those mentioned above.

An unforgettable trip! Exceptional landscapes, an excellent team, magnificent culture, a small, close-knit group full of good humor, and a sporting challenge—it had it all! Don't underestimate the difficulty: good physical preparation is essential to fully enjoy the trip and minimize the risks of altitude sickness. Our guide and his team took excellent care of us throughout the entire journey. His experience and kindness ensured a perfect and safe experience. Highly recommended for any experienced mountaineer wanting to discover the Khumbu region while avoiding the "highway" of Everest Base Camp, and wishing to climb a challenging but technically accessible 6,000-meter peak!

Everything was well coordinated: the flights, the hotel was excellent, the trek itself was fantastic and magnificent, the guide was very professional, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, and always had a smile on his face throughout the stay. As for the Sherpas, I would say the same: incredible memories!
