In a few words

Climbing Mera Peak is a major adventure in the pristine Hinku Valley , far from the well-trodden paths of Everest. The route begins in a forest setting, among rhododendrons and pines , before ascending to more rocky landscapes: glacial moraines , high-altitude lakes , and magnificent Himalayan panoramas . This trek immerses you in the heart of authentic Nepal, dotted with isolated Sherpa villages and peaceful monasteries . While not technically difficult, the climb requires good physical fitness and proficiency with basic high-altitude equipment ( ice axe, crampons ), particularly for crossing the summit glacier . At the top, the reward is exceptional: a 360° view encompassing five giants over 8,000 meters — Everest , Lhotse , Makalu , Cho Oyu , and Kanchenjunga . This trip is for experienced hikers looking to take their adventure to the next level by reaching their first Nepalese summit over 6,000 meters .

The highlights

  • Panoramic view of five peaks over 8,000 meters
  • Crossing a wild and unspoiled valley in Nepal
  • Ideal for a first technical high-altitude summit
