We had an amazing trip. Our guide, Gopal, was incredible from beginning to end. Just a word of caution regarding the return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu: the itinerary states that if the flight is canceled due to bad weather, there is a replacement helicopter flight, starting at €180 per person. We had a mishap; we were stuck at the heliport for two days waiting for a helicopter, even though we had paid €600 per person upfront, while everyone else was paying upon arrival. I don't know why we were the only ones who had to move forward to leave LAST. We almost missed out on the helicopter and consequently our international flight. And don't be fooled by the €180 price, because no flight means an inflated price for a helicopter, at least €600 per person. So be careful; no flight doesn't necessarily mean a helicopter, even if you pay. There's a lot of shady dealing going on between the different agencies… Otherwise, apart from that, the trip and the breathtaking scenery were amazing.

Decathlon put us in touch with the **** agency, which was fantastic. Everything was very well organized and always handled with a smile. Buddhi, the manager, kindly arranged to meet us at our hotel. He was charming and attentive. Our French-speaking guide, Gopal, took excellent care of us throughout the trip. He adapted the trek to our fitness level so we could reach Everest Base Camp without any problems. He's a lovely person. Gyan, our porter, was charming and always smiling. It was a fantastic trek for us, immersing us in a world surrounded by 7,000 and 8,000-meter peaks. We're still in awe. A huge thank you to Decathlon for the organization and for connecting us with these wonderful Nepalese people who made our trip so special.

We have absolutely no regrets about our choices regarding the organization of our trek for two in Nepal. Before receiving the quote, our contacts—including the manager of the local agency—helped us choose the best acclimatization strategy in relation to our desired itinerary, and they were excellent choices. Without a doubt, the effort required by the trek (Gokyo - Cho-La Pass and EBC) was made more manageable thanks to this planning. The advice given regarding equipment and first-aid supplies was also relevant, and the sleeping bag rented from the agency was of good quality. We were therefore well-prepared. Traveling as a couple with a guide and a porter finally allowed us to enjoy this magnificent country at our own pace and to discover the local people. Once there, everyone was punctual. Always. There are still a couple of minor adjustments to be made, for example, concerning the precision of the itineraries, the locations of the overnight stops, and the associated requirements—particularly regarding the expenses to be anticipated on site. We appreciated the support we received, which allowed us to make the most of this magnificent trip.

There's no doubt that the effort required by the circuit (Gokyo - Cho-La pass and EBC) was made more manageable thanks to this planning. The advice given regarding equipment and first aid was also relevant, and the sleeping bag rented by the agency was of good quality.

So we were well prepared. Traveling as a pair with a guide and a porter finally allowed us to enjoy this magnificent country at our own pace and to get to know the locals. Once there, everyone was punctual. Always.

There are still a couple of minor adjustments to be made, for example regarding the accuracy of the routes, the locations of the stops and the requirements that go with them - particularly in the expenses to be expected on site.

We appreciated the support we received, which allowed us to make the most of this magnificent trip.
