This trip is accessible to everyone , from beginners to occasional practitioners, and is perfectly suited to families and individuals wishing to discover the pleasures of snowshoeing in a friendly atmosphere.

The routes, lasting approximately 2 hours , cover distances between 5.5 and 8 km and have moderate elevation gains (from 60 to 150 m ). They allow you to gently discover the snowy landscapes of the Haut-Jura, between forests, clearings and panoramas, at your own pace.

The outings are supervised and adapted to the group's abilities so that everyone can fully enjoy this experience with complete peace of mind. No prior snowshoeing experience is necessary: ​​you simply need to be in good enough physical condition to walk for a few hours on snowy trails.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier, the ESF instructors will share their passion for the mountains with you and allow you to fully enjoy the pleasures of skiing in the heart of the preserved landscapes of the Jura.

Security

Snowshoeing excursions are led by professionals with extensive knowledge of the Haut-Jura mountain range and winter mountain conditions. Routes are selected based on the group's skill level, snow cover, and weather conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Before each departure, a briefing is held to review safety instructions and the itinerary of the outing. Each participant is asked to follow the leader's recommendations and stay with the group throughout the hike.

For your comfort and safety, it is essential to plan ahead:

  1. high-top, waterproof hiking boots,
  2. warm clothing suitable for winter activities (3-layer principle),
  3. gloves, a hat and sunglasses,
  4. a water bottle or a thermos,
  5. a small backpack for your personal belongings.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, insufficient snow cover, or for any reason related to group safety, the program may be modified or replaced with an equivalent activity. The goal is to guarantee everyone a pleasant stay, in the best possible conditions and in complete safety.

    Participants are welcome from 5:00 PM at the Snow & Outdoor Holiday Village in Lamoura. After settling in, join us for a welcome drink with the ESF instructors, who will present the program and allow those interested to register for ski lessons. A friendly evening will kick off this week dedicated to the mountains and relaxation.

This Christmas holiday has been designed for the whole family, combining outdoor activities, exploring the Haut-Jura region, and a festive atmosphere . Snowshoeing excursions, accessible to all, offer the chance to discover the snow-covered landscapes of the mountains via guided and adapted trails. The program is rounded out with moments of relaxation, friendly entertainment, and the highlights of the holiday season, including Christmas Eve.

Equipment specific to snowshoeing outings (snowshoes and poles) can be provided or rented depending on the chosen package.

Activities are organized in a spirit of conviviality and discovery. Outings, their duration, or their route may be adapted according to weather conditions, snow cover, safety, or the group's skill level. In case of insufficient snow, some snowshoe hikes may be replaced by walks or other discovery activities to ensure the quality of the stay.
