We set off with a light bag, as this day is a loop: we will return to the refuge to collect our belongings before reaching the starting point of the trek in Staffal.
This makes the climb to the Pinter Pass much easier. The trail, fast and pleasant, winds past beautiful Walser alpine chalets. The ascent begins in a magnificent larch forest before opening onto beautiful alpine pastures. The Pinter Pass is splendid, with a lake below for those who wish to enjoy a final swim in the mountains!
Above the pass, it's possible to climb Monte Pinter, at 3120 meters, to enjoy exceptional views of the Monte Rosa glaciers. This option is only offered to those who wish to do it, only in good weather, and if your guide deems the group to have the necessary technical and physical ability: it's clearly a step above the rest of the trek, corresponding to a 3-star rated stage.
We then descend back to the refuge to collect our bags, before continuing down into the valley through a magnificent larch forest sheltering ancient trees, alongside a stunning waterfall. Once at the bottom, a shuttle will take us back to the cars, where we can share a final drink in a restaurant before everyone heads home, our heads full of beautiful mountain images and a wonderful shared adventure!
A magnificent final day of sport, which can allow you to experience a higher level!
