Hiking in the heart of the Dolomites

Start your hike from the hotel or take a short bus transfer to Passo Falzarego. Several routes lead to the Scoiattoli refuge: crossing the Tofane (Tofane di Rozes, 3225 m), passing through the Averau pass, climbing Pic Lagazuoi (2778 m) or the summit of Nuvolau (2575 m). A spectacular day, rich in contrasts!

2 to 6 hours of walking, +300 m to +1150 m, -100 m to -420 m.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Scoiattoli refuge.

We reach the Falzarego Pass before climbing towards the Forcella Travenanzes (2507 m). We cross the spectacular Lagazuoi plateau, then pass the Forcella di Lêch (2486 m), offering breathtaking views of the turquoise Lagacio lake. Next, we follow a good track through the wild Fanes-Sennes massif to reach the Lavarella refuge. You carry your overnight gear.

6 to 6:45 hours of walking, +1050m, -1200m.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Lavarella refuge. Lighter pack for the night.

We descend gently into the Val de Fanes to the Pederu refuge, then take a good path up to the alpine hamlet of Fodara Vedla. After crossing the small pass of Lago di Fodara, we descend into the Scuro valley, where our refuge awaits us, nestled in a verdant setting.

4h30 to 5h walking, +510m, -860m.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Ra Stua refuge.

An exceptional day awaits you, with a crossing of the Sennes massif and a circumnavigation of the Croda Rossa (2859 m) via Lake Gran de Foses and the Cocodain Pass (2332 m). You will then reach the magnificent, verdant alpine pasture of Prato Piazza. We suggest a lunch break at the charming Rossalm inn before continuing with a splendid traverse along a balcony trail, dominated by the crimson hues of the Croda Rossa.

5h30 of walking, +760m, -570m.

Overnight stay with half-board at the Prato Piazza refuge.

We cross the Prato Piazza alpine pasture before crossing the Strudelsattel pass (2200 m). The path initially descends on the left side of the valley, then, after passing the ruins of a blockhouse, crosses the stream and climbs into the heart of the rocky cliffs.

A series of footbridges equipped with handrails and a short tunnel allow you to bypass the Strudelkopf and reach the eastern slope of the Landro Valley. A long descent through the woods, punctuated by numerous remains of fortifications, leads to the valley floor, at the foot of a climbing area. We are approaching the mythical Tre Cime, although they are still some distance away.

We continue with a climb up the Rienza valley, then through the Rinbianco valley, to the foot of the last climb which leads us, at 2320 m altitude, facing the majestic Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

6 hours of walking, +1150m, -820m.

A magnificent finale in the heart of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo!

This legendary stage takes you amidst spectacular peaks, spires, and towers. You'll traverse to the Lavaredo Pass, beneath the majestic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, before continuing around Monte Paterno and the Croda Passaporto. Discover the Cengia Lakes, the Büllelejoch Pass, and immerse yourself in the heart of the impressive Dolomite peaks.

The Locatelli refuge awaits you for a well-deserved break facing the famous north face of the Tre Cime. Afterwards, you'll skirt the peaks to the northwest to conclude this dazzling day, rich in panoramas and emotions in the heart of the Dolomites.

5h30 of walking, +700m, -700m.

Dinner and second night at the Auronzo refuge.

We'll begin our day with a descent into the Lavaredo valley (1506 m), before ascending the Cianpedele valley to the Forcela de Rinbianco pass (2176 m). This section offers spectacular views, framed by the peaks of the Misurina range to the south and the Cianpedele peak to the north. Next, we'll descend towards Lake Antorno and Lake Misurina (1800 m), where the Tre Cime are reflected in the water, creating a picture-perfect scene.

Duration: 5 to 5.5 hours of walking, positive elevation gain: +700 m, negative elevation loss: -1200 m.

Option for a shorter day:

Direct descent towards Lake Antorno, then Lake Misurina.

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours of walking, positive elevation gain: +50 m, negative elevation loss: -600 m.

Private transfer to Cortina d'Ampezzo and end of stay.
