EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

Meet at Tokka Safaris where you'll be provided with warm clothing depending on the weather conditions. Halfway through, we'll make a stop to admire the scenery and take photos. Then, we'll head to Santa's old secret cabin, where you'll have time to think about your wishes and the stories you want to tell him. Enjoy a special moment with Santa, and after a few souvenir photos, a hot drink will be offered before we return to Levi.

10:00 AM – SNOWMOBILING & MOUNT KÄTKA (January to March)

TRADITIONAL LUNCH IN A TYPICAL FINNISH HOUSE

Meet at Tokka Safaris where you'll be provided with cold-weather gear depending on the conditions. We'll head south of Levi to explore Mount Kätkä. We'll visit a traditional Finnish house called Hanhipirtti. A retired Finnish couple will prepare a delicious homemade lunch for you, followed by an excellent homemade pastry for dessert. Once you've had your fill, we'll return to Levi from the north side of Mount Kätkä.

A REAL GAME OF MARIO KART ON ICE!

Ice Karting offers a complete service. They pick us up from our accommodation and provide full winter racing equipment. A video in French teaches us the safety rules and driving tips. There are two 15-minute races. Between races, we gather around a fire to warm up and enjoy a typical hot juice.

A driver's license is not required and no prior driving experience is necessary.

MEETING WITH A REINDEER FARMER

Meet at Tokka Safaris where you'll be provided with warm clothing depending on the weather conditions. Halfway through the safari, we'll make our first stop to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Upon arrival at the reindeer farm, you'll meet a herder who will explain his work and the farm's history. With lichen in hand, we'll head to the reindeer enclosure to feed them and enjoy a special moment with the animals. I've excluded the reindeer sleigh ride. After feeding the reindeer, we'll enjoy hot drinks and biscuits, then return to Levi. The safari covers approximately 30 kilometers.

OR HORSEBACK RIDING (OPTIONAL ACTIVITY)

A van will pick you up and take you to the horse farm. The horses are Icelandic. No prior experience is necessary for the ride, as the horses are gentle and docile. They can safely take beginners through the forest or up into the hills. The route and pace of the ride will depend on the experience level of the participants and the weather conditions. After the ride, you will return to Levi.

OR SNOWVILLAGE WITH LUNCH (OPTIONAL ACTIVITY)

We're off in the van, heading to the Lainio Snowvillage. A buffet with various traditional soups (salmon, reindeer, or vegetable) awaits us, along with some extras if you'd like. Once we've had our fill, we'll visit the snowvillage, which features snow and ice sculptures, and as a bonus, we'll tour the rooms of the ice hotel. A superb and unique exhibition, with a theme that changes every year.

A CALM, AUTHENTIC AND RESTFUL MOMENT!

We'll travel to the kennel by van. Upon arrival at the farm, a husky sled will be ready to take you on an unforgettable ride through snowy forests and frozen marshes. The husky trail is 10 km long. After the ride, we'll go to a small cabin with a wood fire where we'll enjoy hot drinks and biscuits. The musher will give you interesting information about life at the kennel and the dogs' daily routine. Then we'll return to Levi.

OR SNOWSHOEING (OPTIONAL ACTIVITY)

DIRECTION TO PALLAS-ŸLLÄSTUNTURI NATIONAL PARK

An activity that's hugely popular every season. Snowshoeing is easy and you don't need any experience to do it. You can choose between a hike on Mount Levi or a hike in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. It's up to you, but I highly recommend going to the park. The hike is simple, with no difficulties, and it ends at a mountain hut reserved just for us, where we enjoyed grilled sausages, marshmallows, and cinnamon buns with hot juice.

After exploring a small part of Finnish Lapland for seven days, it's your last day in Levi. Your transfer will pick you up for your trip to Kittilä Airport. Safe travels back to France and thank you for sharing this journey with me!
