For this day, two routes are available to you , each promising breathtaking scenery and unique sensations .
Option 1: Meymac and the foothills of the Millevaches Plateau – 80 km (1,600 m elevation gain) with a shorter variant.
A challenging route for experienced cyclists! Comprising two loops (55 km and 25 km) , this route follows the winding country roads of the Millevaches Plateau. The starting point is Meymac , a village listed among the Most Beautiful Detours in France , at the foot of Mont Bessou , the highest peak in the Limousin region.
The first loop takes you through a series of pronounced false flats . The second, shorter loop, climbs gently.
It is possible to start cycling from the campsite to join the loop along the way (towards Maussac).
Option 2: The Gorges of the Upper Dordogne – 59 km (hilly)
An immersive journey through a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve . Starting in Liginiac , head towards the Triouzoune reservoir and the Puy de Mangazol . Pass through typical villages (Neuvic, Saint-Pantaléon, Soursac) before descending to the banks of the Dordogne River . Return to Sérandon via the Pont des Ajustants and the Gratte-Bruyère site.
