A day dedicated to discovering the historical wonders of Kathmandu: Swayambhunath. This is a huge Buddhist monument atop a hill overlooking the city of Kathmandu. It is also known as the "Monkey Temple" because monkeys from the nearby forest have recently "stolen" offerings made to the gods. The next visit is to Patan, which was another kingdom in the Kathmandu Valley before the unification of Nepal in the 18th century. It is well known for its beautiful temples, arts, and crafts. After breakfast, we set off to explore Kathmandu's old city center—a district with an incredible, timeless atmosphere—also known as Basantapur (the Spring City). Here, you'll have the opportunity to see the Kumari, a young girl revered as a living goddess by the Newars, the indigenous people of the Kathmandu Valley. We'll also explore the colorful and lively alleyways of Asun Tole and Indra Chowk, rich in both history and culture. Then, we'll visit the great stupa of Bodhnath, a sacred Buddhist site located in the heart of the Tibetan quarter, where many monasteries of exile were built. The late afternoon is free time at the hotel or a monastery.

The day begins early with a guided yoga session led by a specialist, either outdoors on the hotel lawn or indoors depending on the weather. After breakfast, you'll be introduced to creating a mandala , or thanka in Tibetan, with a local master. This sacred painting on canvas or cotton, rich in Buddhist symbols, serves as a tool for meditation and spiritual transmission. After the workshop, you'll head towards the heights of Nagarkot , famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayas. From Jaharsingh Pauwa, the hike begins along a ridge offering unobstructed views of the peaks of Langtang (7210m), Ganesh (7424m) , and Dorje Lakpa (6900m) . The trail winds through a peaceful forest and past small houses before reaching Nagarkot. You'll end the day on the hotel terrace , watching the sunset over the mountains.

Early in the morning, you'll witness the sunrise over the Himalayas , whose name literally means "house of snow." Golden light will gradually illuminate the snow-capped peaks, creating a serene and breathtaking spectacle. After breakfast, you'll set off on a walking tour of the region , passing through traditional villages, terraced fields , and stunning mountain landscapes. The itinerary can be tailored to your fitness level and preferences, with options ranging from 1 to 5 hours . At the end of the day, return to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.

Once again, you'll enjoy a sunrise over the Himalayan peaks before a short transfer to Telkot . From there, a pleasant hike leads you to the historic village of Changunarayan , home to a Hindu pagoda of the same name. This temple, dedicated to the god Vishnu, is considered the oldest still active in Nepal. After the visit, another transfer takes you to Bhaktapur , an ancient royal city with medieval charm. Its cobbled streets , traditional buildings , and lively squares bear witness to the rich cultural heritage of the Newars , the indigenous people of the Kathmandu Valley. You'll explore iconic sites on foot, such as the Nyatapole Temple , Datatraya , Durbar Square , and the pottery district , where craftsmanship and history intertwine at every turn.

After breakfast, you'll set off for Namobuddha , a Buddhist site steeped in history. Along the way, you'll stop in Dhulikhel , an ancient valley town, where you can enjoy a leisurely visit and lunch in a traditional setting. The journey then continues through peaceful countryside to Namobuddha, a pilgrimage site where, according to legend, the Buddha gave his life in a previous existence to save a starving tigress and her cubs. Upon arrival, you'll embark on an easy walk in the surrounding area , amidst rolling hills, forests, and a spiritual atmosphere.

One last time, you'll enjoy breakfast overlooking the Himalayas , taking in the peaceful views of the peaks. Then, it's off to Kathmandu . Upon arrival in the capital, you'll have some free time to relax, stroll through the streets, or do some shopping before the end of your trip.
