We pay particular attention to a balanced diet, adapted to Icelandic conditions and outdoor activities. It aims to meet the energy needs related to exertion while preserving the pleasure of convivial, simple and comforting meals.
Breakfast
Taken together and prepared by the guide, it allows you to start the day well before hikes or visits, in a warm atmosphere.
Lunch
Generally taken in the field, in the great outdoors, in the form of nourishing cold meals: savory snacks, mixed salads, cold cuts, cheese, dried fruit, cereal bars, accompanied by a hot drink.
Dinner
Prepared and shared together, dinners are convivial occasions. They offer the chance to discover simply reimagined Icelandic specialties (skyr, pickled herring, kleinur) as well as homemade dishes enjoyed during our trips: salmon en papillote, leg of lamb with mustard, leek fondue with shrimp. Hearty cuisine, perfect for adventurous appetites. When camping, meals are taken in a communal mess tent.
Specific regimes
Special dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) can be accommodated upon prior request. As some foodstuffs are scarce in Iceland, it may be helpful to bring appropriate products.
