Breakfast :
Breakfast, prepared by the guide, is eaten together in the accommodations. It provides a great start to the day before hikes or visits, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Lunch :
Lunches are generally eaten outdoors, surrounded by nature. They consist of simple and nourishing cold meals: savory snacks, mixed salads, cold cuts, cheese, dried fruit, cereal bars… all accompanied by a hot drink to warm up in the polar atmosphere.
Dinner :
Prepared and shared together, dinners are convivial occasions where we take the time to reconnect over delicious food. It's also an opportunity to discover some Icelandic specialties, revisited with simplicity by our passionate food guides. On the menu? Local recipes like skyr, pickled herring, and "kleinur" (traditional doughnuts), as well as some house classics that have become must-haves: leek fondue with shrimp, salmon en papillote, leg of lamb with mustard…
Since the kitchens in the shelters are small, it can happen that the common room is shared with several groups, which adds a touch of liveliness and unexpected encounters.
Specific dietary regimes:
Most dietary requirements can be accommodated upon prior request. As some products are difficult to find in Iceland, it is advisable to bring appropriate supplements if necessary.
