Your guide will meet you at your hotel at 7:00 PM (if possible). Depending on your arrival time, check in to your hotel and enjoy free time to explore Bari's historic center. Stroll through the cobbled streets and discover architectural gems such as the Basilica of San Nicola, the Cathedral of Santa Sabina, and the Petruzzeli Theatre, the fourth largest theater in Italy. For those arriving early, we will provide a short guidebook to help you make the most of the city (which you can print at home). Meet your guide at the hotel for a briefing on the week's program. Vieste, the pearl of the Gargano

After breakfast, we depart by minibus for Gargano National Park. We begin by exploring the Promontory at the edge of the "Foresta Umbra," a lush and unspoiled forest. Lunch will be at a "Masseria," a typical farmhouse of the region, where we'll discover the excellence of the family's gastronomic products, including the famous "Caciocavallo" cheese. We then continue our walk through the hills, amidst vineyards, olive groves, and fig trees, arriving at Vieste beach, at the foot of the famous Pizzomunno, a large monolith standing on the beach which, according to legend, is the petrified body of a young fisherman turned to stone by the grief of losing his love. Vieste is the pearl of the Gargano: one of the most beautiful villages in the region, with narrow streets perfect for strolling and getting lost, especially during the famous "passeggiata." This is a breathtaking coast-to-coast hike. During today's trek, we encounter the true essence of the Gargano: a mountain surrounded by a turquoise sea, where towering cliffs, sculpted by the elements, plunge into the crystal-clear waters. The route between Vignanotica and Baia delle Zagare is considered one of the most beautiful hikes in Italy. It's also known as the "Path of Love": it's impossible not to fall in love with this landscape! We finally arrive at Baia delle Rose, a magnificent beach made up of flint pebbles. Return by public bus to Mattinata, or, depending on sea conditions and the season, an optional boat tour to explore the peninsula's most beautiful caves. Dinner and overnight stay in a beachfront B&B.Day 3 -
Monte Sant'Angelo - Panoramic Trail

Today, we discover the village of Monte Sant'Angelo, the highest village in the Gargano, perched at 800 meters altitude. A pristine white village, seemingly from another era. We reach it via one of the most ancient paths in the Gargano, a path used by pilgrims who wished to reach Monte Sant'Angelo, and more specifically the Sanctuary of San Michele, the oldest sanctuary in Western Europe dedicated to the archangel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the ascent to the sanctuary, pilgrims carried a stone, the weight of which was proportional to the sin they sought to atone for. We walk along a panoramic trail, immersed in nature and the typical Gargano landscape. Return to Mattinata by public bus, free time for a stroll through the village, to the port, or for a swim!Day 4 -

From our accommodation, we begin our beautiful coastal walk along an old path, discovering an 11th-century BC Daunian necropolis perched on the edge of the sea atop Monte Saraceno. The view is breathtaking, encompassing the entire coastline and the Mattinata plain, surrounded by a sea of olive groves. After a picnic lunch, we'll transfer by private bus to Alberobello, the village of the "Trulli." Alberobello is the most frequently mentioned town when discussing the Puglia region. Trulli are small, conical-roofed buildings that served as temporary or permanent dwellings for farmers and agricultural workers. These roofs are constructed of dry stone, without mortar, allowing them to be dismantled and rebuilt at will. The process of transforming and restoring the trulli, while respecting the original character of the buildings, has earned Alberobello its UNESCO World Heritage status. Check-in at a hotel, dinner, and overnight stay in Alberobello.Day 5 -

Transfer by minibus to Ostuni, "the white city," located a few kilometers from the sea, perched atop a solitary hill. Visit the historic center and its elegant maze of narrow streets. The whitewashed buildings give the city an exotic charm. A stroll around Ostuni and its surrounding countryside, through fields of ancient olive trees whose size and shape make them veritable monuments... of the plant world! We arrive at a 19th-century farmhouse ("masseria"). Together with Mimma, our host, we discover the gourmet products of her farm. Transfer by private bus to Bari. We say goodbye to our guide for the week. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay in Bari.Day 6 -
Bari - bus to Naples

You'll have the opportunity to visit Bari's beautiful historic center, strolling through its narrow streets and discovering the local women who make the famous orecchiette pasta, which you've already had the chance to try! Alternatively, explore the Basilica of San Nicola, the Swabian Castle, and the Cathedral of Santa Sabina. For a more picturesque experience, and for the more adventurous, there's the option of getting up early and enjoying a typical local breakfast: raw sea urchin (or focaccia) and beer! The Apulian interlude concludes, and we'll take a bus to the splendid capital of the former Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Check-in at your new accommodation. We'll meet up with the other participants who will be joining us for the second week around 7:00 PM at the hotel. Dinner is on your own.Day 7 -

After breakfast, meet our guide for the week and get an overview of the program. Transfer to Mount Vesuvius, known as one of the world's most dangerous volcanoes. Ascend the wide track to the crater, where a volcanologist guide will reveal the volcano's secrets. Then transfer to Pompeii, nestled at the foot of Vesuvius. Destroyed during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, the site is remarkably well-preserved and offers invaluable insight into ancient Rome. Transfer to Agerola, a village perched above the Amalfi Coast.Day 8 -

Amalfi, the valley of the mills and Ravello

This day involves a lot of climbing. Starting from Amalfi, we ascend the magnificent "Valley of the Mills." Along the path, bordered by streams and waterfalls, we discover stunning terraced lemon groves and the old paper mill. The trail leads to Ravello, a charming village situated 350 meters above sea level. It's essential to take the time to wander through its narrow streets and visit the sumptuous villas Cimbrone and Rufolo. We then walk down to Amalfi and return by private minibus to Agerola for dinner and overnight stay.Day 10 -

Another day full of stairs! We'll depart from Agerola and hike the "Path of the Gods," a superb walk along an old mule track that once connected Agerola to the village of Positano. From the heights, the sublime coastal landscape unfolds with its steep cliffs, terraced fields, and charming villages perched on the hillside. Enjoy free time to explore Positano, a small town nestled in the mountains, with its colorful houses cascading down to the sea. In the late afternoon, we'll transfer back to Agerola by private minibus.Day 11 -

In the morning, a hydrofoil will take you to the island of Capri from Amafli. This excursion offers magnificent views of the sea and the island. It's the perfect opportunity to be captivated by the island's beauty, with its sumptuous villas, lush gardens, and stunning turquoise waters. Explore the charming village of Capri with its narrow streets and elegant boutiques. In the late afternoon, return to Naples.Day 12 -
Procida and Old Naples

We're taking a hydrofoil to Procida, an island of barely 4 square kilometers north of the Gulf of Naples. We love its authentic charm, the Italian dolce vita! Its small historic center, "Terra Murata," is made up of narrow streets where we love to stroll and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of an island still untouched by mass tourism. We'll have lunch in a restaurant in a picturesque little fishing port. A truly delightful way of life! Back to Naples and a walk through Spaccanapoli, the city's vibrant and unique historic center! Dinner on your own.Day 13 -
