The most beautiful lakes of Kyrgyzstan

In the morning, a 4-hour drive to the Kyzart Pass. Lunch in a yurt, then a meeting with our guide/groom and his horses. Kyrgyz horses are renowned for their docility and are accustomed to travelers.

The trek begins in the afternoon. After about 4 hours on horseback, we arrive at the Kilemche alpine pasture, a vast mountain pasture.

After breakfast, continue the trek towards the Jalgyz-Karagay pass (3300 m), before a long descent to Lake Son-Kol.

Lunch in a yurt by the lake. In the afternoon, resume the trek to the Jaman-Echki site.

We leave this beautiful lake with our driver for Tash Rabat. We stop at the pass known as '32' for some great photos. Then, we descend on foot from the pass (approximately 30-40 minutes). Lunch in Naryn.

Upon arrival, discover the 11th-century caravanserai, a relic of the ancient Silk Road. Settle into a magnificent mountain setting.

Hike to the Panorama Pass (4,050 m). A challenging but exceptional day, offering spectacular views of Lake Chatyr-Kol.

Drive to the remote Kok-Kyia Valley. En route, visit the 7th-century ruins of Koshoy-Korgon. Settle into a yurt camp near Lake Kel-Suu (border area requiring a permit).

In the morning, after breakfast, we'll depart for a hike to the spectacular Kel-Suu Lake (3,500 m), surrounded by steep cliffs. The round trip takes 3 to 4 hours. We'll return to camp for lunch, then transfer to Naryn.

Drive to Lake Issyk-Kol. In Kochkor, we'll visit a women's workshop where they make traditional felt rugs (Shyrdak and Ala-Kiyiz). We'll have the opportunity to make our own rugs.

Then, upon arrival at Issyk-Kol Lake, a walk through the Ak-Say canyons offers magnificent views of the lake and the snow-capped Teskey Ala-Too mountains. Swimming in the lake is possible.

In the morning, meeting with an eagle hunter and demonstration.

Route to Karakol with short walks in the Skazka and Jeti-Oguz canyons.

In Karakol, visit the Dungan mosque and the Orthodox church.

In the morning, after breakfast, we visit the Karakol livestock market.

Hike from Ak-Suu to the Altyn-Arashan Valley (approximately 4.5 hours). Upon arrival, relax in the natural hot springs. Picnic lunch.

In the morning, we set off on horseback towards Lake Ala-Kol. The horses accompany us to the foot of the mountain, then we continue on foot for the final section (approximately one hour of sustained climbing) to reach the Ala-Kol Pass (3,860 m). The effort is richly rewarded by a spectacular panorama of one of Kyrgyzstan's most beautiful lakes, with its strikingly colored waters.

After this unforgettable experience, we descended back to the horses. Those who wished could continue on horseback, while the others walked to Altyn-Arashan. We generally recommend walking down, as it is more pleasant and accessible.

Upon arrival, a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting for us for the transfer to Karakol.

Return to Bishkek via the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kol.

En route, a stop at the open-air petroglyph museum and the Burana Tower. Arrival in Bishkek in the late afternoon. Final preparations before departure.
