Sports and cultural immersion in Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka

For this first day of activities, set off in a kayak to explore the expanses of water around your accommodation: the Puttalam lagoon and the shores of the Lakshadweep Sea .

After lunch at the camp , you will depart with a local guide for a tour of Kalpitiya : its colonial fort , fish market , church , and a local school . A wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture and gain a better understanding of the country right from the start of your trip.

At the end of the day, it's time to relax with a yoga session overlooking the lagoon .

To extend this moment of well-being, you have the option of adding a one-hour shiatsu massage , performed directly at the camp (option to be booked on site).

Departure around 8am towards Wilpattu National Park , located about 2 hours away by road . It is the largest park in Sri Lanka (1317 km²), but also one of the oldest.

During this safari , you may have the chance to see leopards , bears , crocodiles , a wide variety of birds , and many other animals. Wilpattu is home to the highest concentration of leopards in the country.

Return to Kalpitiya camp at the end of the day.

In the morning, set off by bike to discover the vegetable crops in the surrounding area, an ideal warm-up before the afternoon cooking workshop .

After lunch at the camp , you will participate in a local cooking class , an opportunity to immerse yourself in the flavors of Sri Lanka and experience its traditions firsthand.

A day dedicated to culinary discovery , accessible to all.

As an option, you can choose to go scuba diving (at an additional cost).

A day full of discoveries and emotions awaits you. Very early departure at 5am , to reach the famous Lion Rock at Sigiriya after about 3 hours of driving .

This iconic Sri Lankan site, a former royal capital , rises to an altitude of 370 meters . You will climb its 1,300 steps to enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of the region. At the top, you will explore a 10th-century archaeological site steeped in history.

After lunch , we head to Minneriya National Park for an elephant safari . This park is renowned for its large herds of wild elephants , as well as many other animal species.

At the end of the day, return to your accommodation in Kalpitiya , with your head full of images.

For this final day of activities , set off in the morning by boat to encounter the large marine mammals . With a bit of luck, you might spot dolphins and perhaps even whales off the coast of the island. A truly memorable and unforgettable experience to add to your collection.

After lunch at the camp , enjoy a fun and active moment with a stand-up paddleboarding session on the lagoon, at your own pace. A great way to gently conclude your stay.
