This trip is for experienced riders who are already independent in kitesurfing and have good downwind experience . The goal is not to teach kitesurfing, but to experience a true kitesurfing adventure along the Ceará coast , between wild lagoons, dunes, and fishing villages.

The route between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara is considered one of the most beautiful downwinders in the world . Carried by the regular trade winds of Brazil, you sail for several hours a day along a spectacular coastline, with stops in legendary spots like Icaraí, Guajiru, Paracuru or Tatajuba.

Each day is organized to make the most of the conditions: downwind sailing, breaks in flat water lagoons ideal for recovery or working on transitions, then arrival in a new village where you will spend the night.

This downwind trip is physically demanding and intense , and is intended for experienced paddlers with the necessary skill level to complete several hours of continuous paddling. Participants must therefore have a sufficient skill level to guarantee their own safety and that of the group. If, during the trip, a participant's skill level does not meet the requirements or could endanger them or the group, the instructor in charge may decide to discontinue their participation in the downwind trip and offer alternative sessions.

Safety and supervision during the downwind

Safety is a key element of this downwind trip. The route has been designed and tested by local riders who are intimately familiar with the wind conditions, tides, and specific characteristics of each spot.

During the sessions, a support vehicle follows the group along the beach to maintain visual contact with the riders and intervene quickly if necessary. Breaks are planned in safe areas, often in lagoons or wide beaches that allow for easy kite landing.

Before each departure, a briefing is held to present the day's stage, the distance to be covered, the navigation areas and the regrouping points.

It is essential to be an independent and experienced rider , capable of managing your navigation and equipment for several hours. Wearing an impact vest is mandatory, as is using a line cutter, and a helmet is strongly recommended for added safety.

If, during the first session, a participant's skill level is deemed insufficient by our instructors to complete all stages of the downwind leg, they will not be able to continue the route. They will then join the various designated meeting points to practice sailing there while waiting for the group.

Depending on the organization required and any additional transport logistics put in place, additional charges may apply.

    Once there, you will meet the rest of the group and your instructors. This will be an opportunity to get to know each other and finalize the arrangements for the departure the following day, with the first leg of the sailing trip.
