Day 1 – From Jericoacoara to Tatajuba: dunes, lagoons and the first kilometers of adventure
Our three-day adventure begins in Jericoacoara, one of Brazil's most iconic kitesurfing villages. After breakfast, we meet our guide for a briefing on the weather conditions, the route, and safety instructions. Once our equipment is ready, we set off on our first leg along the Ceará coast.
We sail northwest, passing magnificent beaches fringed by sand dunes. The route takes us to Guriú, a small coastal village known for its river mouth and mangroves. This unique landscape offers a striking contrast between the ocean, the sandbanks, and the tropical vegetation.
We then continue our downwind journey towards Tatajuba, along a wild coastline where long beaches and unspoiled landscapes give this trip a true expedition feel. Depending on wind and tide conditions, a break may allow us to enjoy the surroundings before setting off again.
We end the day in Tatajuba, a destination renowned for its dunes and lagoon, popular with kitesurfers for its calmer waters. After this first day on the water, we return to our pousada to relax and prepare for the next leg of our journey.

Day 2 – From Tatajuba to Praia de Maceió: between lagoons, mangroves and wild beaches
After breakfast, we begin the day at Tatajuba, a spot renowned for its calm lagoon and dune landscapes. Depending on the conditions and the group's preferences, we may enjoy one last session in the lagoon before preparing for departure.
We then embark on a downwind run of approximately 30 to 35 km towards Praia de Maceió, near Camocim. Throughout the journey, we follow the coast of Ceará, between wild beaches, stretches of sand, river mouths and mangrove landscapes.
A key stop is near Camocim, where we'll take a break before continuing our adventure. The route through the river mouth depends on wind, tide, and safety conditions; the guide will choose the best crossing on the day itself.
We then resume sailing towards Praia de Maceió, a peaceful beach with fine sand, ideal for ending this second day. Upon arrival, we collect our belongings and head to our accommodation to rest before the next leg of the journey.
This day combines sailing, discovering unspoiled landscapes and immersing oneself in the authentic coastline of the Brazilian Northeast.
Approximate distance: 30 to 35 km. The exact route, breaks, and crossing conditions may vary depending on the weather and tides. The guide will adapt the itinerary to prioritize the group's safety.

Day 3 – From Maceió to Barra Grande: a long coastal crossing
After breakfast, we prepare our equipment and check the weather conditions before embarking on the most adventurous leg of our expedition. Departing from Praia de Maceió, we follow long stretches of wild beaches towards Barra Grande, in the state of Piauí.
Along the way, we discover Barra dos Remédios , a spectacular landscape where sand dunes meet the lush vegetation of a small delta. It's an opportunity to take a break, recharge, and enjoy this unspoiled environment.
We then continued our journey along the coast to Bitupitá , a fishing village located near the border between Ceará and Piauí. The route offered a true sense of expedition, between isolated natural spaces, consistent winds, and long kitesurfing sessions.
Finally, we arrive in Barra Grande, a village renowned for its relaxed atmosphere and kitesurfing culture. After this wonderful day on the water, we can settle into the pousada and celebrate the end of our adventure with a delicious meal.
This stage represents approximately 45 to 50 km of downwind riding , depending on the exact route and the day's conditions. It requires a good level of kitesurfing independence and endurance. The route and breaks are adapted to the weather conditions and the safety of the group.
Day 3
Note
Organization and conditions of the program
The program is organized over three consecutive days, with an overnight stay in a pousada at each stage. The planned itinerary connects Jericoacoara to Tatajuba on the first day, Tatajuba to Praia de Maceió on the second day, and then Maceió to Barra Grande on the third day.
Departure times, distances, and breaks are adapted to wind conditions, weather, tides, and the group's skill level. The itinerary may be modified if conditions do not allow for safe navigation. In case of adverse conditions, a leg may be postponed, shortened, or canceled.
Participants must have an intermediate to advanced level of kitesurfing skill, be able to kitesurf independently, and be able to retrieve their board in open water. Good physical condition and insurance covering kitesurfing are essential.
A safety briefing is held before each departure. The guide accompanies the group on the water and shares their technical and local knowledge. Luggage transport and logistical support are arranged according to access possibilities along the route.
Participants must bring their own kitesurfing equipment, unless prior arrangements have been made for rentals. It is recommended to bring sunscreen, water, appropriate clothing, and everything needed for several hours of kitesurfing per day.
