Horseback riding in Kyrgyzstan

Airport pick-up and transfer to downtown Bishkek where we'll enjoy breakfast at a traditional cafe. Afterwards, we'll travel to the village of Chon Kemin and the Orto Kaindi Gorge. En route, we'll visit the Burana Tower (minaret), a 21st-century architectural complex and an important landmark on the Great Silk Road. Lunch will be at a local restaurant along the way. Dinner and overnight stay in a guesthouse in Khiva.

After breakfast around 9 am, we set off for our first day of horseback riding in Kyrgyzstan! During lunchtime, we stop at the entrance to Chong Kemin National Park for a picnic. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the Toru Aigur alpine pasture, at an altitude of 2,200 meters, where we will camp. We set up our tents and prepare dinner. In the evening, we gather around a large campfire for dinner and sing songs. We spend the night in tents.

After a hearty breakfast, we remount our horses for the trek across the Toru Aigur alpine pasture . We climb to an altitude of 2500-2600 meters , where we find ourselves facing Lake Kol Konur. We enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest along the way. We set up camp while the cook prepares our dinner. The afternoon is free; we can spend this time swimming with the horses or simply relaxing. We had a very early breakfast. Today we continue our hike along the Chong Ak Suu River. This fantastic place is filled with wildflowers, an ideal valley for a break.

After this short break, we descend towards the Red Gorge via the 3800m pass, where our car picks us up, and head towards Kara Kol, passing through magnificent landscapes. Lunch in Cholpon Ata.

Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight stay in a guesthouse in Kara Kol.

We leave after breakfast to visit the Dungan Mosque and the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Karakol, which offer us a view of 19th-century architecture.

Next, we explore the unusual red canyons ! This red rock is typical of the Jeti-Ögüz region near Karakol. Its name, "Seven Bulls," comes from the red rocks located opposite the sanatorium, renowned for its hot spring treatments. After lunch, we continue with a walk through the small sand mountains. We stop at the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, the second largest alpine lake in the world. Dinner and overnight stay with the Gulmira family.

This morning, we visited a family who hunt eagles. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to witness an eagle hunting demonstration!

We are then transferred to Kochkor, where lunch is taken in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we'll visit the local market, then continue our journey through the Kyzart Pass. We'll arrive in the afternoon at the village of Kyzart and check into the Avaz guesthouse. Dinner and overnight stay at the guesthouse.

After breakfast, we meet our local team, who will accompany us for the next four days, as well as our horses. After a short briefing, our experienced guides assign a horse to each participant, and we begin our trek. Our first stop is in the Kilemche Valley, where a delicious lunch awaits us at a yurt camp run by local nomads. We then cross mountains situated between 2,000 and 3,000 meters above sea level.

After lunch, we continue our ascent to the Jaman Echki Pass (3,800 m), where the view is spectacular. Finally, we descend to the yurt camp on the shores of Lake Son-Kul (3,100 m) at Tuz Ashuu. Dinner and overnight stay at the yurt camp.

This morning, we continue our journey along the shores of Lake Sonkul. Today, we have the opportunity to discover the fascinating culture of Kyrgyz nomadic life, observing how they care for their livestock and even helping out. After our horseback ride, we join a nomadic family for lunch. Dinner and overnight stay with the nomads.

After an early start, we continued our horseback trek in Kyrgyzstan, riding around the lake. We passed numerous animals, providing the perfect opportunity to gallop freely and play traditional nomadic games. We had lunch with the nomads. The afternoon was free, so we took the opportunity to relax by the lake and go for a swim.

In the evening, we have dinner and spend the night at the yurt camp in Tash Dobo, where we can take a hot shower!

Today is our last day around the lake, so we'll have an early start. After breakfast, we'll spend the morning exploring the lake. We'll have lunch in the yurt with our nomadic family and our guide. Then it's time to say goodbye to our horses and our team. A bus will pick us up and take us to the village of Kochkor (a two-hour drive).

Tonight, our dinner will be accompanied by a folk concert, and we will spend the night with a family in Zhannar.

Today, we return to Bishkek . We stop for lunch on the way. We arrive in Bishkek in the afternoon, and a visit to Osh Bazaar is planned. For our last dinner, we will enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport according to our return flight. Arrival in Europe at the end of the day.
