Ethology riding holiday in Corsica

Your immersion begins at 9 a.m. with coffee to discuss fundamental theoretical concepts. You will then have time to observe the horses in the different areas of the center to better understand their social behavior. The morning continues with getting acquainted with your mount and discovering the specific equipment.

The afternoon is dedicated to initial groundwork exercises. You learn to establish a connection with the animal and are introduced to the basics of liberty work. This progressive approach allows you to lay the foundations for a trusting relationship before the following sessions.

You'll meet the team at the stables first thing in the morning to prepare the horses. The session begins with practicing the handling exercises covered the previous day, to reinforce what you've learned. You'll then alternate between groundwork and riding to refine your communication with your horse.

In the afternoon, training continues on technical obstacles set up across varied terrain. These exercises allow you to test your horse's balance and responsiveness in more dynamic conditions. To conclude this day full of learning, you'll head out for a ride through the scrubland, enjoying the surrounding wild landscapes.

This workshop allows you to test the precision of your aids and the horse's responsiveness to a variety of obstacles.

In the afternoon, you set off for a longer ride through the wild trails of the maquis in order to put into practice the lessons learned.

This day is entirely dedicated to immersion in nature. Depending on the conditions, your route will take you either to the banks of a river or to explore the trails surrounding the village. This wild setting is the ideal opportunity to put into practice the ethological techniques learned during the stay, but this time in a natural environment.

Throughout the ride, you'll work on your connection with your horse and refine your aids in response to the terrain and external elements. You'll take advantage of the peaceful surroundings to observe your horse's reactions and strengthen your bond of mutual trust. This is a key step in validating your independence and comfort in trail riding.

Your day begins with the transport of the horses to the coast for a unique experience. Once there, you'll enjoy a snack by the sea, a convivial moment overlooking the horizon. This break allows you to calmly prepare for the rest of your adventure in a peaceful setting.

In the afternoon, you'll head out for a ride on the beach, making the most of the bond you've developed during your stay. The feel of the sand and the sound of the waves offer a unique playground to savor the freedom of riding with your horse. At the end of the day, you'll return to the equestrian center by horsebox, bringing this seaside getaway to a close.

After breakfast, departure around 9:30 am for the airport.
