The expert's opinion

The Tour du Mont Blanc 'lightweight' is a moderately difficult hike. It involves a minimum elevation gain of 700 meters and a maximum of 1300 meters, averaging 5 to 7 hours of walking per day. Mountain trails are generally well-maintained, though some sections may be off-trail. A good level of fitness and regular exercise are recommended.
