In a few words

This trip invites you to experience one of Iceland's most beautiful hiking adventures, completely independently , amidst some of the country's most spectacular landscapes. Available only in July, August, and early September , when the Highlands are accessible, the Laugavegur trek traverses territories shaped by volcanic activity and glaciers, offering an incredible diversity of scenery: multicolored mountains, lava fields, vast desert plateaus, rivers to cross, and natural hot springs. Day after day, you progress at your own pace, carried along by the silence of the wide-open spaces and the feeling of freedom inherent in hiking in the wilderness.

Designed for hikers who want to be self-sufficient while benefiting from solid organization, this trip combines preparation, logistics, and freedom in the field. You'll follow a marked route, spend your nights in mountain huts or campsites, and experience total immersion in Icelandic nature. This trek is a challenging and profoundly transformative experience, where each stage reveals the raw power of the landscapes and the simple pleasure of moving forward, backpack on, along the trails.

The highlights

  • One of the most beautiful treks in Iceland, to be done in complete autonomy
  • Spectacular and highly varied volcanic landscapes, day after day.
  • A complete immersion in the vast Icelandic landscapes
