Enjoy a delicious breakfast before leaving the hotel at 7:00 am directly to Torres del Paine National Park where we will arrive at Estancia Cerro Paine, the starting point of the trail, the beginning of our hike.
We take the path towards the Ascencio valley via a marked zigzag of one hour and then continue for another 45 minutes until we reach the Chileno Refuge on the opposite bank of the Ascencio river, in the shade of a lenga forest, with a moderate slope, crossing several springs that fall from the Almirante Nieto.
After about an hour and 10 minutes from the Chilean campsite, at an altitude of 900 meters, you reach the base of the moraine that provides access to the viewpoint. From this point, the trail climbs steeply. After about half an hour from the sign at 700 meters, you reach the eastern end of the lagoon, where there is a magnificent view of the three towers (Central, Monzino, Dagostini) and the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores hills.
After resting and having lunch in this extraordinary and unique scenic setting, we begin our return journey along the same path until we reach the starting point, to resume our journey back to Puerto Natales.
