In a few words

The expert's opinion

Be careful when choosing between the 6-day and 7-day Machame routes. The 6-day option has a significantly lower summit success rate and is only suitable for experienced hikers or those who have already undergone prior acclimatization. This shorter route skips the intermediate stage at Karanga camp, making adaptation to high altitude much more difficult and reducing your chances of reaching the summit. Although this option is often promoted by budget agencies, we do not recommend it for beginners.
