In a few words

Embark on an unforgettable adventure to the Roof of Africa via the spectacular Machame Route. This 9-day program offers an excellent balance of gradual acclimatization, diverse landscapes, and professional guidance, maximizing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m).

Your journey begins upon arrival in Tanzania, where our team will welcome you with a full briefing and equipment check. The trek starts at Machame Gate , first traversing the rainforest before reaching the Shira Plateau. Each day reveals new landscapes: volcanic ridges, high-altitude moors, alpine desert, and the famous Barranco Wall. Nights are spent in tents, accompanied by an experienced team of certified guides, porters, a cook, and camp staff.

Thanks to the "climb high, sleep low" strategy, the route promotes effective acclimatization by progressing via Shira, Lava Tower, Barranco, Karanga, and then Barafu Base Camp . The final ascent begins around midnight and is the most demanding but also the most rewarding part. You reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, offering breathtaking panoramas and unforgettable memories.

After the celebration, you descend to Millennium Camp and then to Mweka Gate, where you receive your certificate. The final day is dedicated to departure or possible extensions such as a safari or a trip to Zanzibar.

This expedition combines safety, comfort and exceptional service.
