Whether you're taking your first steps in longboarding or looking to refine your technique, this week is entirely dedicated to the joy of riding the waves and enjoying your time on the board. The team will guide you through your introduction, teaching you all the essential basics. You'll practice cross-steps towards the nose while simply enjoying the waves. The approach remains simple and accessible: if the conditions at Las Canteras aren't ideal for longboarding, they'll take you to another spot perfectly suited to your skill level.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and everyone is welcome. You have a choice of several types of accommodation: from surf hostels to private rooms, shared apartments or fincas .


After a day in the water, you can join the group for evening activities: relaxing on a rooftop, tapas tours in the old town, sunset hikes on volcanic trails, live music, or karaoke nights. Depending on the season, other activities such as taco nights, pancake mornings, or movie nights may be added to the program. All activities are optional; join the group whenever you like, or take some time to recharge.

The expert's opinion

Regarding the difficulty level of our surf lessons, please do not worry at all! At Feel Surf Camp, our certified instructors adapt the classes to exactly what you need. We divide our groups based on everyone's experience, so you will always be with people at a similar stage and nobody feels left behind.

If you are a complete beginner, we will start from scratch with the basics on the sand before hitting the white water to catch your first waves. If you already have some experience and want to start catching green waves or improve your technique, our instructors will give you specific coaching to help you take your surfing to the next level! The most important thing for us is that there is no pressure at all, just having a great time, feeling safe, and improving step by step at your own pace in the water.

    Each day is punctuated by the perfect balance between adrenaline and relaxation on Las Canteras beach:

    1. Morning: 2 hours of surfing lessons to tame the waves.
    2. Lunchtime: A friendly lunch break with local specialties alongside other surfers.
    3. Afternoon: Free time or wellness options (yoga to stretch or dance for energy).
    4. Evening: Dinner facing the sunset followed by social activities to discover the island's culture.


    The Unmissable Events

    The camp offers themed activities to punctuate your week:

    1. Monday (Nature): A 3-hour hike, accessible to all, to the El Confital volcanic area. An ideal photo spot to watch the sun dip into the ocean.
    2. Wednesday (Atmosphere): Evening of live music in a local bar to enjoy "good vibes" without pressure.
    3. Thursday (Culture & Gastronomy): Tapas tour in the historic Vegueta district. A gourmet immersion in the architecture and history of the Canary Islands.
    4. Saturday (Party): Karaoke night with the camp team to end the week with laughter and song.

Just steps from your accommodation, enjoy exceptional snorkeling in the Las Canteras Marine Reserve; you'll be amazed by the underwater life! You can also hike directly from your doorstep to the summit of El Confital mountain. From there, explore the aboriginal caves and admire the sunset over the ocean. It's an experience not to be missed!

Visit the beautiful old town, go shopping, or explore the city's museums. Rent a bike to cycle along the seafront. If you'd like to explore the island by car, the team at Feel Surf Camp Las Palmas will be happy to recommend the best spots to visit.
