    Beginner
For those wishing to discover mountain biking, enduro, or "All Mountain" riding, and who have little or no experience mountain biking in the mountains. You want to learn the essential technical skills for both descending and climbing on rideable trails.
    Intermediate
For occasional mountain bikers. You are comfortable shifting gears and modulating your braking, and you can clear obstacles by unweighting the bike. You will ride on 4x4 tracks that offer a gradual progression, though you may encounter the occasional steep section. Daily elevation gain is approximately 400 to 600 meters.
    Confirmed
For mountain bikers who are already enthusiasts with some riding experience. You have mastered gear shifting and braking control, and are able to clear obstacles by unweighting the bike, as well as ride up or down short, steep sections. Ideal for riders looking to improve their descending skills on singletrack trails that are rarely very steep but sometimes technical (rocks, roots, etc.) without being exposed, featuring daily elevation gains of 600 to 1,000 meters.
    Advanced
For mountain bikers who are already skilled descenders and confident in their technique. You are capable of navigating switchbacks, riding along off-camber trails without hesitation, controlling your braking, and clearing small obstacles (such as roots, rocks, and steps). The long, sustained descents—which increase in difficulty throughout the week—are sometimes steep, often technical, and occasionally exposed, though rarely dangerous. Expect daily elevation gains of between 800m and 1,400m.
    Expert
For experts and experienced, regular riders. You are capable of navigating switchbacks and off-camber trails, controlling your braking, and clearing obstacles such as roots, rocks, and steps. The descents are long and sustained—often steep, technical, and sometimes exposed. You are looking to challenge yourself with daily elevation changes of 1,400 to 2,000 meters.

The expert's opinion

This trip is designed for intermediate cyclists comfortable with their mountain bikes in varied conditions. You'll mainly ride on secondary tracks, country lanes, and a few technical sections crossing rice paddies, plantations, and traditional villages. Daily distances range from 17 to 47 km, with elevation gains from 240 m to over 1,480 m depending on the stage. Some days include challenging climbs, particularly between Belimbing and Jatiluwih or from Ubud to Kintamani, but the electric assist allows you to tackle these sections with confidence and fully enjoy the scenery. Two free days (Ubud and Amed) are included in the program to recover or extend the adventure at your own pace. Transfers by vehicle are also provided to avoid sections with little cycling potential and to focus each stage on its most scenic stretches. The tropical heat and humidity require good hydration and an appropriate pace. A reasonable level of fitness and regular cycling experience are recommended. If you are unsure of your fitness level, please contact us before booking so we can best advise you.

Management

The paper roadbook contains all the information directly in your bag.
Paper Roadbook

You'll travel independently with a detailed printed roadbook provided upon arrival. Each stage is precisely described: the day's route, distance, elevation changes, must-see points of interest, practical advice, suggested breaks, and accommodation contact information. The itineraries are also provided in GPS format to guide you smoothly throughout your journey. A local French-speaking emergency number is available 24/7 throughout your stay to answer your questions or assist you if needed. Logistical transfers are planned in advance, and a local driver will meet you at each meeting point. This independent travel option allows you to fully enjoy Bali's rich cultural and natural heritage at your own pace, while benefiting from the safety and expertise of a local team with extensive knowledge of the area.

Management

Security

Your safety is our top priority. Before departure, you will receive a comprehensive briefing including safety instructions, health recommendations specific to Bali, and emergency contacts. Each bicycle is serviced by a local mechanic before delivery, and a basic repair kit is provided. A support vehicle can quickly intervene on the route in case of mechanical problems or fatigue. A French-speaking emergency number is available 24/7 throughout your stay. The routes have been scouted and tested on the ground to avoid the most dangerous roads and prioritize tracks and secondary roads. For optional activities (trekking on Mount Batur, trekking in Sidemen), certified local guides will lead the excursions. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance covering sports activities and medical repatriation. Helmets and reflective vests are provided with the bicycles. The pace and skill levels are flexible: additional transfers can be arranged at any time in case of fatigue or unforeseen circumstances.
