The first few kilometers take you to the amazing town of Abbeville and its parks, then you head towards the Somme Valley cycle route to follow the canalized Somme.

You then reach the banks of the Bay and can spend as much time as you like in the very charming town of Saint-Valéry sur Somme and its medieval city.

In the afternoon, you'll drive through the much wilder part of the bay, heading towards Pointe du Hourdel. With a bit of luck, you might spot the seals and harbor seals that have recolonized the bay over the past thirty years. Be sure to ask for advice on navigating the area at low tide! This will maximize your chances of seeing groups of seals.

At the end of the day, you return to Saint-Valéry to spend your first night, passing back through the countryside inland.
