Wingfoil course in Tenerife – Learn to fly in El Médano

After breakfast overlooking the ocean, we set our sights on El Médano Bay , the perfect spot to start or regain confidence in wingfoiling.

The wind is constant, the body of water is safe, and the atmosphere is always friendly.

At 10 a.m., go to the partner center to meet your certified instructor.

First session: discovering the equipment, handling the wing, managing balance and first towed glides.

The goal of the day: to experience your first sensations of flying and learn to manage the board on the foil safely.

In the afternoon, free time to relax or explore the village of El Médano: a walk along the seafront, a coffee in the central square or a swim in the bay.

In the evening, dinner at your leisure and sunset over Mont Rouge, surf atmosphere and relaxed lifestyle.

Second day on the water: the sensations are becoming more refined and confidence is growing!

After breakfast, meet your instructor at El Médano Bay for another 2-3 hour session.

On the agenda:

1. Work on balance and sail control.
2. First stable flights on the foil.
3. Leadership management and learning about transitions.

The constant wind from the south of Tenerife allows for smooth progress, in a relaxed and motivating atmosphere.

The instructors adapt to each person's pace, with individual support on the water and personalized advice.

In the afternoon, take advantage of your free time to explore Tenerife :

You can rent a car directly on site to explore the spectacular landscapes of the island — the Teide volcano , the cliffs of Los Gigantes , typical villages like Vilaflor or the wild beaches of the north.

In the evening, relax at your accommodation or enjoy dinner at your leisure in one of El Médano's restaurants, facing the sunset.

After breakfast, meet your instructor on El Médano Bay for another supervised wingfoil session.

The morning's program includes:

1. Foil control when sailing straight.
2. Learning tack changes and turns.
3. Work on posture, reading the water surface and managing the power of the wing.

Thanks to the personalized support and ideal conditions of El Médano, everyone progresses at their own pace in a safe and stimulating environment.

In the afternoon, free time to explore Tenerife : possibility of renting a car to visit the Teide volcano , the typical villages of the south, or the cliffs of Los Gigantes .

You can also simply enjoy the calm of the beaches or terraces of El Médano to gently recover.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure and a friendly atmosphere by the sea, lulled by the wind and the colours of the sunset.

Fifth day, and already some great sensations on the water!

After your breakfast, head to El Médano Bay for a session focused on technical improvement .

Under the supervision of your instructor, you will:

1. Working on stability during prolonged flight on the foil.
2. Learn to manage gusts and optimize your position.
3. To refine transitions and initial jibes.
4. Gain fluidity and autonomy under the coach's supervision.

The atmosphere remains relaxed and friendly, but the progress is noticeable: the trajectories become more precise and the sensations of gliding more intense.

In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to discover more of Tenerife: visit coastal villages, take a walk towards Montaña Roja , or simply relax on the beach.

For those who wish, there is the possibility of an additional activity (yoga, massage, or boat trip depending on the season).

In the evening, dinner at your leisure in the village of El Médano — the ideal place to share your first successes on the foil over a good meal.

After several intense days of wingfoiling, this day is designed to recover, explore and fully enjoy Tenerife .

Additional wingfoil session (optional, to be booked on site) to perfect your maneuvers or simply enjoy the pleasure of gliding with your instructor.

Option 2:

Discover the island : rent a car to explore the spectacular landscapes of the Teide volcano , the cliffs of Los Gigantes or the charming northern villages like La Orotava and Garachico .

For those who prefer to relax, El Médano offers everything you need: beaches, seaside cafes, artisan shops, or a leisurely stroll along the bay.

It's an ideal day to recharge before the final session of the stay.

In the evening, dinner is at your leisure and the atmosphere is relaxed between the ocean and the gentle southern breeze.

Last day under the Tenerife sun

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the ocean, you meet your instructor for a final wingfoil session in El Médano Bay .

Now is the time to enjoy everything you have learned throughout the week: balance, foil control, transitions…

Under the watchful eye of your coach, you will complete your best flights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

After the session, return to the accommodation for a shower and a final lunch at your leisure in El Médano.

Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Tenerife South Airport (optional).

This stay ends on a beautiful note of freedom, sport and sharing — with, as a souvenir, the unforgettable sensations of your first wingfoil flights under the warm wind of the Canaries.
