Experience a unique week of surfing in Peniche during the WSL MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal World Surfing Championship, one of the stages of the Championship Tour bringing together the best surfers in the world.
From October 17th to 24th, enjoy 7 nights in a B&B and 5 half-days of surfing with an instructor, suitable for all levels. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced surfer, you'll be in a group that matches your skill level and benefit from your instructor's guidance throughout the sessions. Times and surf spots are chosen according to conditions and tides to make the most of the waves at Peniche.
The rest of the day is free to fully enjoy your stay and, when the competition starts, head to Supertubos to watch the WSL MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal. A unique opportunity to see the world's best surfers in action and experience the atmosphere of one of the season's major events in Peniche.
Between supervised surf sessions, competition and time spent at the surfhouse, this special week combines surfing practice and immersion in the world of the WSL, in the heart of one of Portugal's most iconic surf destinations.

Christophe has been surfing for 45 years and teaching for 30. He opened one of the very first surf schools on the Moroccan coast in 1996, and has been welcoming groups in Peniche since 2007. He speaks French, English and Portuguese, which allows him to teach participants from all backgrounds without missing a single technical detail along the way.

Ruben is from Peniche. He grew up here, he surfs here, and he knows these waves like the back of his hand. What sets him apart is his ability to adapt to any level—whether you're a complete beginner or a surfer with a few sessions under your belt, he'll find a way to help you improve. And his passion for surfing is evident from the very first session.
Our courses are taught by experienced and certified instructors, trained in teaching surfing in an ocean environment. To guarantee personalized attention and quality coaching, the camp is limited to a maximum of 6 to 8 participants per instructor.

During your stay in Peniche, enjoy five half-days of surfing lessons with an instructor, tailored to your skill level. Each day, session times are determined by the tides, swell, and conditions to ensure you surf at the best time and in the most suitable spot.
Start your day each morning with breakfast served at the surf house. Depending on your scheduled session time, then head out to surf with your group or use your free time to visit Supertubos and watch the WSL MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
Outside of lessons, your time is free. You can enjoy the competition, explore Peniche and its surroundings, or continue surfing independently. Surf equipment can be rented on-site for those who wish to return to the water outside of the supervised sessions.
The program remains intentionally flexible throughout the week in order to adapt to surfing conditions and the progress of the competition.

Surf lessons are organized according to weather conditions and ocean state to ensure participant safety and optimal learning conditions. Instructors can therefore adjust schedules and locations daily to adapt to wind, swell, and tides.

🏠 Surf House - Days 1 to 7
Our surf house is located in the charming village of Ferrel, just minutes from the rugged coastline and about a 10-minute walk from Almagreira beach. The village center is a 5-minute walk away and offers all the necessary amenities: shops, cafes, bars, a pharmacy, and a bank. To enjoy evenings by the sea, beach bars are a 5-minute drive or taxi ride away, or a 25-30 minute walk.

The stay ends at the surf house. For the return trip, several options are available depending on your mode of transport.
By bus or taxi/private hire vehicle: The return journey to Lisbon Airport is organized in the same way as the outbound journey. From Peniche bus station, regular buses run to Lisbon bus stations, from where you can reach the airport by metro or taxi. You can also take a taxi or private hire vehicle directly from the surf house to the airport.
By car: If you've traveled by car, take the opportunity to explore the region before heading back to Lisbon. The West Coast is full of places worth visiting:
- Óbidos — a breathtaking fortified medieval village, just 30 minutes from Peniche. Allow at least an hour or two to wander through the narrow streets and along the ramparts.
- Nazaré — a must-see for surf enthusiasts. This fishing village has become world-famous for its giant waves. Even out of season, the view from the viewpoint is well worth the stop.
Both fit easily into the route back to Lisbon without much detour.

The nearest airport is Lisbon, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Peniche.
By bus: From the airport, take the metro or a taxi to one of Lisbon's two bus stations: Sete Rios or Campo Grande. Regular buses depart from both stations towards Peniche. Once you arrive at the Peniche bus station, it's a short taxi or rideshare ride to the surf house.
By taxi or ride-hailing service: You can also take a taxi or use a ride-hailing app directly from the airport to the surf house, without any stops. This is a convenient option, especially if you are traveling with others. Fares vary depending on the time of day and traffic.
