Your week is structured around 5 days of surfing and one day of rest.
Morning : Breakfast and off to the beach! Lessons take place in the morning for a full morning of surfing, divided into two sessions with a snack break in between to keep your energy up. Return to the hotel is around 2:30 PM for lunch, in true Canarian tradition!
In the morning, you leave the hotel around 9:30 AM to go to the surf school located in the small village of Famara, where the beach of the same name begins. There, you put on your wetsuit, grab your foam board designed for beginners, and head to the surf spot.
After a 5-minute walk to the water's edge, your instructor will begin by briefing you on the surfing conditions: wave size, where and how they break, the different practice areas, the tide, and the wind. Your entire environment will be explained to you.
Next, the surfing lessons begin. You learn how to position yourself on your board, how to stand up, and how to place your hands and feet. Once the explanations are finished, there's a short warm-up, and then it's time to get in the water with your group and instructor.
