After breakfast, you'll drive for approximately two hours to the Slovenian Karst, famous for its limestone landscape, arid plateaus, and Mediterranean vegetation. You'll visit the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visit lasts about three hours: the first part is guided, featuring large chambers, natural bridges, waterfalls, and the Reka River; the second part is at your own pace.
After the visit, you'll have free time for lunch at a traditional inn or small restaurant. If you wish, you can also take a short drive to Lipica, near the Škocjan Caves, famous for its stables and Lipizzaner horses (stud farm visit at an additional cost) — a captivating experience for the whole family.
In the afternoon, you will reach the Slovenian coast , bordered by the Adriatic Sea. Koper seduces with its medieval center, Izola charms with its narrow streets and tranquil beaches, and Piran, an architectural gem, transports you back in time with its picturesque squares and Venetian buildings.
The region is also renowned for its winemaking tradition: the hills produce celebrated white wines, often enjoyed in local taverns with seafood. Between the sea, vineyards, and picturesque villages, the Slovenian coast offers an authentic and tranquil experience.
