This 4-day course in the Iroise Sea is aimed at beginners and experienced sailors.

Whether you wish to consolidate your basic skills or progress as an active crew member on board a habitable sailboat, while enjoying the discovery of the Breton landscapes, this course is for you.


Departing from Brest, you'll sail in a rich and educational environment. You'll discover the famous Brest harbor, the currents of the Iroise Sea and its wild coastline, the Molène archipelago and Ouessant...

You will practice coastal navigation and cover various topics: safety at sea, life on board, weather, maneuvers...


Sailing trips may include stops in port or at anchor. The trip is intentionally limited to 4 participants (+ 1 instructor) to guarantee personalized instruction, a friendly atmosphere on board, and greater comfort.


Under the guidance of a state-certified instructor, you will learn to understand how the boat works, to participate effectively in maneuvers, to read a nautical chart and to adopt the right safety reflexes.


At the end of the internship, you will be able to better analyze your environment and identify best practices on board.

    Here is a typical day of a sailing cruise course:

    1. Welcome aboard, safety briefing and program presentation
    2. Boat preparation and departure from port
    3. Getting to grips with the tiller and adjusting the sails

Day 1: Brest → Camaret-sur-Mer

  1. Boarding, exploring the ship and organizing life on board.
  2. Navigation through the Brest harbor then passage through the narrows.
  3. First maneuvers and getting to grips with the sailboat.
  4. Stopover and overnight stay in Camaret-sur-Mer.

Day 2: Heading for the islands

  1. Navigation to the Molène archipelago or the island of Ouessant depending on conditions.
  2. Discover an exceptional maritime environment, between lighthouses, currents and wild landscapes.
  3. Active participation in navigation and route selection.
  4. Stopover and overnight stay on an island or in a sheltered port.

Day 3: Exploring the Iroise Sea

  1. Sailing between the islands of the archipelago or along the most unspoiled coasts of Finistère.
  2. Time for exploration on land, walks and immersion in the island atmosphere.
  3. Navigation, maneuvers and crew life at the pace of cruising.
  4. Last night in port.

Day 4: Return to Brest

  1. Preparing for the return crossing.
  2. Sailing towards Brest while enjoying the last landscapes of the Iroise sea.
  3. Review of the stay, sharing of experiences and arrival at the port in the late afternoon.
