The adventure begins in the port of Brest! You'll embark on a 15-meter sailboat designed for polar expeditions with a professional skipper who will teach you the basics of sailing in the ideal conditions offered by the Iroise Sea . Between currents and rocks, you'll discover magnificent secluded islands such as Molène, Ouessant, and Sein . From the sea, you'll have a unique perspective on the Breton coastline , its cliffs, and its fine sandy beaches. This trip will leave you with a head full of memories shared with a warm and close-knit crew.

Meet at 10am at the Moulin Blanc port in Brest. The crew will begin by introducing you to the boat and the program for the coming days. Then, you will leave the port towards the harbor entrance to exit the bay and set course for our first night at anchor.
Along the way, you can admire the Minou lighthouse and Pointe Saint-Mathieu. With a bit of luck, dolphins will come and play around the boat. Many seabirds nest on the surrounding islands, and it will be possible to observe them during our voyage.
This first day will allow you to familiarize yourself with the sailboat and acquire basic knowledge. You will develop these skills further over the following days.

Over these three days, we'll sail from island to island, discovering their landscapes, life on land, and their flora and fauna. You'll have time for walks or paddleboarding. The hiking time is approximate; you can adjust it to suit your preferences.

It's time to return to Brest after sailing near the cliffs of Pen Hir. Once you arrive at the port, you'll do some tidying up, and then we'll finish by reviewing your trip.

The itinerary for this sailing course is given as a guide and can be modified according to your wishes, those of the skipper and the weather conditions.
Accommodation
It's a steel sailboat, 15m long with two masts; it's a schooner. Its distinctive feature is its retractable keel, which allows it to be beached or to have a shallow draft.
Access

🚂 To reach the meeting point from the train station, you have several options:
- Bus line 29 (Bibus network) departs from the train station to the port / Moulin Blanc beach: 10–12 min, (~€2)
- Taxi from the train station: 5 to 10 minutes (€11–15), convenient if you have luggage or water sports equipment
- On foot, approximately 5 km from the train station: about a 1 hour 15 minute walk

Clothing to bring
Adapt your packing to the weather conditions and season. In May and September, temperatures can be cooler, so pack warm and waterproof clothing.
We recommend:
- Quick-drying polyester trousers may be sufficient for summer. Remember to bring a spare pair of trousers.
- Sneakers (and boots if you have them).
- Beanie, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Fleece or warm sweater.
- Bath towel
- Sleeping bag (pillow and sheet provided)
- Hiking bag for your walks on land.
