Crossing a pristine forest, we witnessed the tracks left by local wildlife in the fresh snow, offering the chance for some wonderful encounters. Respectful of the environment, we continued towards Nant Borrant and the Bois de la Rollaz forest. After a final climb, we arrived at the Refuge des Prés (1935 m), our home for the next three nights, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
