Your day begins with an early morning flight to Semera. Upon arrival, you'll travel by road towards the famous Danakil Depression . You'll cross the spectacular landscapes of the Afar region to reach the volcanic area of ​​Erta Ale . In the late afternoon, you'll begin a hike to the summit of the volcano. You'll arrive at the crater rim in time to admire the sunset . The night offers exceptional conditions for photographing its permanent lava lake , one of the few of its kind in the world.

You begin the day with a sunrise photography session on Erta Ale before descending the volcano. Your route continues through the Danakil Depression , where you'll traverse vast lava fields , salt formations , and encounter traditional Afar camel caravans . This journey offers numerous opportunities to capture the desert environment and local life. You arrive in Hamedela in the afternoon to immortalize the sunset over the salt flats .

You depart before sunrise for a photography session at Dallol , a unique geothermal site. There you explore colorful mineral deposits , sulfur terraces , salt canyons , and spectacular hydrothermal formations.

Your morning continues with a journey towards Lake Assale . There, you'll observe and photograph traditional salt extraction activities as well as camel caravans crossing these vast white expanses. After this excursion, you'll leave the Danakil Depression by vehicle for Mekele . This journey takes you from the lowlands of the Afar region to the high plateaus of Tigray .

After breakfast, you'll head east towards the Wukro region. This leg of your journey is dedicated to exploring the area's fascinating rock-hewn churches . You'll visit, in particular, the famous Abraha Atsbeha Church, renowned for its ancient architecture, interior paintings, and spiritual significance.

Throughout the day, you'll explore other major historical sites, allowing you to immerse yourself in the unique cultural and religious traditions of Tigray . In the afternoon, your itinerary continues towards Hawzen . The journey takes you through spectacular sandstone landscapes and traditional villages of the region.

You dedicate a full day to exploring the spectacular mountains of Gheralta . Your adventure begins with an early morning trek towards the legendary perched church of Abuna Yemata Guh . Located atop a sandstone pinnacle, this unique site demands a challenging climb but rewards your efforts with an exceptional panoramic view of the region.

After this initial discovery, you continue your walk towards other rock-cut structures and viewpoints in the massif, including the churches of Mariam Korkor and Daniel Korkor . Between impressive geology, centuries-old religious heritage, and scenes of traditional rural life, this hike offers an ideal setting to capture the wild beauty of Tigray .

Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin your journey to Turmi through the beautiful landscapes of the lower Omo Valley.

Continue your journey towards Turmi.

In the late afternoon, visit the colorful Hamer tribe, one of the best known in the Omo Valley, famous for:
