In a few words

Discover the Moroccan Sahara in a new way through our hiking tours departing from M'Hamid El Ghizlane, the last oasis before the great dunes. Specializing in authentic experiences and immersive travel, we offer treks accessible to all, accompanied by a local nomadic team passionate about their region.

Our treks allow you to experience the desert at your own pace, far from the typical tourist routes. Each day, travelers traverse diverse landscapes of dunes, hamadas, and oases, while camels carry luggage and camping equipment. This approach offers a comfortable experience while preserving the spirit of adventure and simplicity inherent in nomadic life.

Nights are spent under the stars or in traditional bivouacs, in a friendly atmosphere. Meals are prepared on-site by our team, featuring simple and generous Moroccan cuisine. Beyond discovering the landscapes, our treks offer a true cultural immersion: sharing nomadic skills, discovering desert traditions, and enjoying moments of conversation over tea.

Based in M'Hamid El Ghizlane, we also have a guesthouse to accommodate travelers before and after their adventure. This setup ensures smooth logistics and great flexibility in planning trips.

Our hikes are designed for travelers seeking nature, a break from the everyday, authenticity, and adventure.

The highlights

  • Departure and return to our riad in M'Hamid, at the gateway to the Moroccan Sahara.
  • Local guide speaking French and English, expert on the desert and nomadic culture.
  • Authentic immersion: walking, bivouacking, desert cooking and nomadic life.

After breakfast at the riad, the camels are loaded with all the expedition equipment. The camel drivers prepare the caravan, and the trek begins, crossing the palm groves of M'Hamid El Ghizlane, the last oasis in the Draa Valley. Gradually, the gardens give way to desert landscapes, marking the progressive entry into the Sahara.

Accompanied by Ali, a local French-speaking guide, you'll discover the ancient caravan routes and the history of the nomads who have roamed these lands for generations. Camels carry the equipment, allowing you to travel light and fully enjoy the scenery.

In the middle of the day, a short break is planned to catch your breath before continuing the walk to the lunch spot, located in the shade of a tamarisk tree.

After settling in, everyone enjoys free time to explore the dunes, admire the scenery, relax or simply savor the unique silence of the desert, before sharing dinner under the stars.
