8-day trek in the Moroccan desert and nights under the stars

After breakfast, cross the Drâa Valley, the longest in Morocco, known for its palm groves and traditional villages.

Lunch stop in Zagora, then visit to Tamgroute to discover its historical library and pottery workshops.

Arrival in M'Hamid El Ghizlane, starting point of your trekking adventure. Overnight stay in a bivouac or riad.

After breakfast, meet your team and begin your expedition into the Sahara.

First major hike across the rocky plateaus (reg) towards Erg Ait Ounir. Picnic lunch. Setting up camp near the dunes.

The long-distance trek continues towards the impressive Erg Ezzahar, one of the most beautiful stages of the expedition. After breakfast, we set off for approximately 4 hours of walking through the Saharan landscapes, between rocky plateaus and sand dunes.

A break is planned in the middle of the day for lunch, followed by a rest period allowing participants to relax, take a nap, or enjoy time dedicated to meditation and yoga practice in a soothing natural setting.

In the afternoon, we resumed our hike towards the next campsite. Upon arrival, we set up camp and participated in authentic activities such as preparing traditional sand bread and gathering firewood. The evening was spent around the campfire in a convivial atmosphere, sharing stories and conversations while preparing dinner.

The night is spent under the stars or in a tent, offering a unique moment of immersion and tranquility in the heart of the desert.

The trek continues with camel trekking through isolated Saharan landscapes, offering total immersion in the heart of the desert. The pace is adapted to each stage, alternating between walking and camel rides to vary the experience and provide opportunities for rest between stops.

Along the way, a picnic lunch is organized in a peaceful natural setting, allowing you to take a break, refuel, and fully appreciate the silence and surrounding beauty. In the afternoon, the trek resumes through dunes, rocky plateaus, and open spaces, far from the hustle and bustle.

At the end of the day, we set up camp in a quiet, secluded spot in the heart of the desert landscape. You'll help prepare the camp before sharing a convivial moment around the campfire. The evening continues in a warm atmosphere, followed by a night in a bivouac or tent under a breathtaking starry sky.

A shorter but equally rewarding hike across a succession of desert plateaus and dunes towards Erg Laarida. This stage unfolds at a more leisurely pace, allowing participants to fully appreciate the landscape and the unique atmosphere of the desert.

Regular breaks are planned to admire the panoramas, take photos, and appreciate the interplay of light on the dunes. This time of day also encourages contemplation and disconnection in a calm and unspoiled environment.

At the end of the day's trek, we set up camp in the heart of the dunes, in an exceptional natural setting. The evening unfolds in a peaceful atmosphere, with dinner prepared on site and a night spent in a tent or under the stars, offering an authentic experience close to the Saharan wilderness.

The final leg of the trek towards M'Hamid El Ghizlane marks the end of the adventure in the heart of the desert. This last walk allows you to gradually reach the village after several days immersed in the Saharan landscapes.

Upon arrival, participants can settle in and enjoy a well-deserved rest after their exertion. They can also take a refreshing shower to relax and recover from the trek.

The day ends with a convivial dinner in a riad, in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The night in a bivouac provides a pleasant setting to unwind before the next leg of the journey or the return trip.

After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech via the scenic route through Agdz and Ouarzazate, offering stunning landscapes of valleys, oases, and mountains. The journey allows us to relive the highlights of the expedition while enjoying the diverse scenery of southern Morocco one last time.

Stops can be made along the way to rest, take photos, and admire the final panoramas of the Atlas Mountains and the regions traversed. Upon arrival in Marrakech, transfer to your riad for check-in and relaxation.
