Free Spirit: Get your PADI Open Water certification in Mexico

Thanks to the PADI eLearning course that will be sent to you before your departure, all the theoretical aspects can be completed at your own pace before your trip. Once there, we can then fully concentrate on the practical training.

Your training will begin with a day in the pool where you will learn and master the fundamental exercises of scuba diving. This first step is essential for acquiring the right reflexes and moving safely underwater. A day dedicated to learning, sharing, and discovery alongside one of our instructors.

The second day will be dedicated to two dives in a natural environment. You will put the skills acquired into practice while making your first real underwater discoveries in the warm and crystal-clear waters of the Riviera Maya.

Finally, a third day including two more dives will allow you to consolidate your skills, gain independence, and refine your technique. These final dives will validate your progress and lead you towards obtaining your PADI Open Water Diver certification, the first step in a long underwater adventure.

Congratulations! You are now a certified Open Water Diver.

To celebrate this new stage and to make your first dives as an autonomous diver, we offer you a unique experience in the world: two cenote dives.

You will travel by vehicle to the jungle of the Riviera Maya to discover these exceptional natural formations, true geological treasures of the Yucatán Peninsula.

The word "cenote" originates from the Mayan term Dzonot , meaning "sacred well". Once used as freshwater reservoirs and ceremonial sites by the Mayans, cenotes are now among the most fascinating diving environments on the planet.

The Yucatán Peninsula is home to the world's largest network of underground rivers and caverns. During your dives, you will explore exceptionally clear waters amidst spectacular landscapes: stalactites, stalagmites, limestone columns, plays of light, haloclines, and geological formations thousands of years old.

Much more than just a dive, this experience will allow you to put into practice the skills acquired during your training while discovering one of the most iconic environments in Mexico.

Lunch will be taken in the heart of the jungle before your return to your accommodation.

One thing is certain: these first dives as a certified diver will remain among the memories of the beaches in Mexico.

This day is left free so everyone can enjoy Playa del Carmen at their own pace. It's the perfect opportunity to relax on the beach, stroll through the lively streets of the town, or simply enjoy a well-deserved rest.

For those wishing to extend the adventure, many activities can be organized on site: cenote diving, a trip to Cozumel, exploring the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve, or various cultural and natural excursions.

Ranked among the New Seven Wonders of the World , Chichen Itza is one of Mexico's most iconic archaeological sites and an exceptional testament to the grandeur of the Mayan civilization.

Accompanied by a certified French-speaking guide, you will discover the secrets of this ancient city through its most remarkable monuments: the famous pyramid of Kukulcán, the Great Ball Game, the Observatory, the Temple of the Warriors as well as the sacred cenote, at the heart of many Mayan legends.

For lunch, head to an authentic Yucatecan hacienda where you can enjoy regional specialties in a typical and warm setting.

This hacienda also boasts a magnificent cenote, nestled amidst lush vegetation. Its crystal-clear waters offer a refreshing respite and an ideal setting to fully appreciate the unique atmosphere of the Yucatán.

Finally, you will end this excursion with a visit to Valladolid , a charming colonial city renowned for its historical heritage, colorful facades and authentically Mexican atmosphere.

After a week full of discoveries, dives and emotions, it's already time to head back.

Depending on your flight schedule, you can enjoy your last moments in Playa del Carmen to relax, stroll through the lively streets of the city, do some shopping or simply savor one last time the unique atmosphere of the Riviera Maya.

Your transfer will then take you to Cancun airport for your return flight, with, we hope, many memories and beautiful images in your head.
