An early start to take advantage of the best conditions at altitude. After breakfast, the group gets equipped for the high mountains: harness, crampons, ice axe, and rope. The route begins on the Tré-la-Tête glacier, in the cold morning light, with a roped ascent led by the guide.
As the ascent progresses, the atmosphere becomes more ethereal. Steps become more precise, the pace more deliberate, and we advance amidst a spectacular glacial landscape. The day's objective is to traverse the Dômes de Miage, a long, snowy ridge emblematic of the massif, offering sweeping views of the major peaks of Haute-Savoie and Mont Blanc.
This day encapsulates the full intensity of the expedition: physical exertion, altitude, glacier travel, and the unique sensation of traversing a suspended ridge. After the crossing, return to the Conscrits refuge for a second night at altitude. The evening offers a chance to savor the experience and recover after this demanding day of mountaineering.
