Trekking in the Moroccan desert from Marrakech in 4 days

Today, we are leaving early in the morning from our camp located at the gates of the Moroccan desert.

Right after breakfast, we'll set off on foot from the camp, accompanied by our team and the camel caravan. The team will be made up of local nomads, experts in the desert and its mysterious trails.

We begin the walk by crossing the dunes near the camp; you will walk with the guides and their camels, forming a single caravan, in the manner of traditional nomads, crossing the Sahara with rudimentary means and admiring the desertification landscapes that surround the sand dunes and small valleys.

We continue the hike through different dune landscapes until we reach the Maswariya region, where we take a lunch break in the shade of a tamarisk tree, surrounded by desert vegetation and dunes dotted with trees.

After this moment of rest, we resume our journey towards Berthan, an area of ​​white sand dunes offering a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.

Upon arrival, we set up the tents, light the fire, and prepare dinner. The evening unfolds in a peaceful atmosphere. We spend the night in the desert, either in a tent or under the stars.

The bivouac will take place in the heart of the dunes, offering breathtaking views of a sandy landscape dotted with centuries-old tamarisk trees.

Early this morning, after breakfast, we load the portable camp onto the backs of camels. Following the sun's rhythm, the camp folds up as we venture into the heart of the Draa Valley, leaving Bertham behind and entering a landscape both vast and timeless. The trail winds through dry, silent forests, where scattered palm and tamarisk trees stand out against the desert horizon, in a peaceful atmosphere punctuated only by the wind and our footsteps.

As we walk, we take a lunch break in a unique setting: either in the heart of the salt dunes shaped by time, or in the shade of the last palm trees of the oasis, where the green gradually fades in favor of the golden hues of the desert.

In the afternoon, the adventure continues through a succession of dunes offering ever-changing panoramas. The light evolves, the colors become softer, and the feeling of isolation grows as we advance.

At the end of the day, we reach the salt dunes where we set up camp. A pristine place, open to the infinite, ideal for enjoying a spectacular sunset and the absolute tranquility of the Moroccan desert.

In the morning, we return to M'hamid and then to Marrakech at the end of the day.

After breakfast, we set off with our caravan across the salt flats of the Draa Valley. Our goal is to reach the edge of the palm grove, where the oasis reveals its tranquil beauty. Along the way, we will enjoy vast open horizons and soothing desert landscapes.

The walk lasts about an hour, before we meet our driver for the transfer back to the village. After a refreshing shower and a well-deserved tea break, we resume our journey towards Marrakech. We then head to the permanent campsite to shower, passing through the magnificent landscapes of the Draa Valley, before returning to Marrakech.
