In a few words

Embark on the Vire des Fleurs , one of, if not the most beautiful hikes in the Pyrenees. Amidst extraordinary landscapes, you'll traverse trails in a wild and unspoiled environment. You'll begin by crossing the legendary Brèche de Roland before descending to the Spanish side and its canyons. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park will reveal its sheer cliffs and, with luck, its wildlife, including chamois and marmots. A wild and sporty adventure in a setting unique in Europe.

The highlights

  • A wild route, in a UNESCO World Heritage site straddling two national parks
  • The Cirque de Gavarnie and the Ordesa Canyon, among the deepest in Europe, are magnificent!
  • The passage through Roland's Breach

The expert's opinion

A contrasting journey, with a rather calm first day, and a really intense second day.

The second day offers a long hike, and the return after the flower ledge requires considerable determination and endurance given the length and the rough terrain. It's all worth it, but you'll sleep well that night!

The technical difficulty alternates between relatively easy sections on grassy plateaus and rocky, technical terrain, where we will sometimes need to use our hands. There are some short, easy climbs, but they require concentration.

The route includes exposed sections, on the flower ledge and at the end of the second day at the Forqueta pass. Let's discuss this beforehand if you are particularly prone to vertigo.
