Private 4-day 4x4 tour from Marrakech to Erg Chegaga

After breakfast, you'll have some time to briefly explore the village of Agdz, a charming oasis nestled in the heart of the Draa Valley, surrounded by palm groves and ancient ksour. You'll then continue your journey along the old caravan route, once used by merchants traveling between sub-Saharan Africa and northern Morocco.

Along the way, you pass through Zagora, famous for its mythical sign indicating "Timbuktu 52 days", before reaching Tamegroute, an important spiritual center known for its Sufi zawiya, its Koranic library housing precious ancient manuscripts, as well as its unique handcrafted green pottery in Morocco.

The route continues towards M'hamid, the last town before the vastness of the Sahara Desert and the true gateway to the Sahara. Upon arrival, you leave the vehicle for a peaceful camel trek across the dunes, at the magical moment of sunset, when the colors of the sand change from gold to orange.

As night falls, you'll arrive at your bivouac nestled in the heart of the dunes. A traditional Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars, followed by a convivial evening around the campfire, accompanied by nomadic music. You'll spend the night camping in the desert, in a calm and authentic atmosphere, for an unforgettable Saharan experience.

At the first light of day, after breakfast at the camp, you'll set off on a trek or a 4x4 excursion, depending on your preference. This morning is dedicated to exploring the Ostrich Nature Park, a protected area where the desert reveals all its richness: vast stretches of sand, isolated oases, wild acacia trees, and silent landscapes shaped by time.

The route then continues towards the majestic and remote dunes of Erg Chegaga, one of the most authentic jewels of the Moroccan Sahara. Along the way, you'll traverse spectacular desert tracks, far from tourist routes, offering total immersion in the Saharan landscape.

In the late afternoon, you enjoy a camel ride through the golden dunes to reach a high point, ideal for admiring an unforgettable sunset, when the sand is tinged with ochre, gold and orange hues.

As night falls, return to camp to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, prepared on-site and served under a sky of exceptional clarity. The evening continues with Berber music around the campfire, in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

You then spend the night in the heart of the desert, under the stars or in a comfortable nomadic tent, lulled by the absolute calm of the Sahara and the magic of the celestial vault.

After breakfast, depart by 4x4 through the splendid Draa Valley, one of Morocco's most beautiful oases. The road winds between vast palm groves, earthen villages, and ancient kasbahs that bear witness to the region's caravan history. Several stops are planned along the way to admire the scenery, take photos, and discover the daily life of the locals.

The journey then continues north through the High Atlas Mountains, offering spectacular views of valleys, mountain passes, and Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides. At the end of the day, arrival in Marrakech and transfer to your drop-off point. End of the tour and our services.
