You leave Marrakech early in the morning and take the scenic route towards Imlil , the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains. The fresh mountain air and spectacular landscapes herald the adventure to come.
Upon arrival, your experienced guide will accompany you on the trail leading to the Assaoul peak (2700 m). The first part crosses the village of Tamaterte , where traditional Berber life is revealed along the narrow streets and terraced fields.
You continue through a pine forest , offering shade and tranquility, and enjoy panoramic views of the Imlil and Tachedirt valleys, with the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains on the horizon. At the Tizi N'Tamatert pass (2279 m), you take a moment to admire the scenery before the final ascent to the summit.
The terrain becomes more rugged, and each step brings you closer to Assaoul , where you are rewarded with spectacular views across the valley and surrounding mountains. After savoring this moment and taking photos, you descend gently back towards Imlil .
The day ends with a night in a hotel in Imlil , with local dinner and immersion in Berber culture and hospitality.
