Your 7-day trek in the Moroccan desert begins this morning from your riad or accommodation in Marrakech. You will head towards the village of M'hamid, in southeastern Morocco, at the gateway to the desert. M'hamid is the last inhabited village before the vastness of the Sahara, a region of diverse landscapes that you will discover and where you will immerse yourself in the nomadic way of life. Travel will be by private vehicle, depending on the size of the group.
Along the way, we may stop in an Atlas Mountain village to admire exceptional panoramic views. You will also visit Aït Ben Haddou, near Ouarzazate, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will discover the history of this iconic fortress, known locally as a kasbah.
We then continue our journey to Oulad Otmane, in the Draa Valley, for lunch amidst oasis landscapes offering breathtaking views of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. The route continues through the magnificent Draa Valley, with its palm groves, oases, and the remains of ancient kasbahs along the famous "Road of a Hundred Kasbahs."
In the evening, you will spend the night with a local family in the village, or in a fixed and comfortable bivouac located in the heart of the desert.
