From the train station to the Castor Residence (Flaine Forêt):

  1. By bus/shuttle: The regular "Les Carroz - Flaine Express" line (ARV'i Mobilité / Altibus network) connects Cluses bus station directly to Flaine in approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour. The nearest stop is Flaine Forêt (or Ascenseur 1 ), located a 2-minute walk from the residence. The fare is approximately €2 per trip in summer and between €10 and €12 in winter.
  2. By taxi/private hire vehicle: Allow approximately 35 to 45 minutes for the ascent. Fares generally range from €70 to €110 during the day depending on the operator and traffic conditions (higher in the evening or on weekends).
Access by car

  1. From Paris (approximately 6 hours 15 minutes to 6 hours 30 minutes by car - approx. 590 km): Take the A6 motorway towards Lyon/Mâcon, then the A40 ("Autoroute Blanche") towards Geneva/Chamonix. Take exit 19 "Cluses Centre", then follow the D1205 and D106 to Flaine Forêt.
  2. From Lyon (approximately 2.5 hours drive - approx. 210 km): Take the A42 motorway then the A40 towards Geneva / Chamonix. Take exit no. 19 "Cluses Centre", then follow the D1205 and the D106 to the resort.
