Location: The "Chalet de L'Arbaron" accommodation is a cozy residence located approximately 2.8 km from the center of Flaine, in the Hameau de Flaine district. The ski area is accessed via the "Télécabine de l'Aup de Véran" gondola lift, located 2.2 km away. Downhill skiers and snowboarders will find the nearest slope practically on the doorstep. The network of trails located at the same distance allows for cross-country skiing. Ski buses stop approximately 50 m from the apartment complex. The nearest shops are approximately 100 m away. Amenities: You can store your ski equipment in the ski/snowboard room. Children: High chairs and cots are available (at an extra cost, upon request and subject to availability). Meals: No meals are provided.

  1. Nearest train station: Cluses train station (located approximately 30 km from the resort).
  2. Means of transport then to the accommodation:
  3. By bus (shuttle): The Les Carroz Flaine Express line (Altibus network) provides a direct link between Cluses train station and Flaine in approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The fare is approximately €9 one way.
  4. By taxi or private hire vehicle: Allow approximately 40 to 50 minutes journey time from Cluses train station for a fare generally fluctuating between €70 and €110 depending on the time (day/night) and the period.

Travel to the place of stay with parking available

By car

  1. From Paris (approximately 6 to 6.5 hours drive, ~600 km): Take the A6 motorway then the A40 towards Chamonix/Geneva. Take exit 19 (Cluses Nord) , then follow the D902 and the D106 towards Les Carroz d'Arâches and Flaine.
  2. From Lyon (approximately 2.5 hours by car, ~200 km): Take the A43 then the A41 and the A40 towards Chamonix. Take exit 19 (Cluses Nord) and continue on the D106 to the resort.
Free parking and car parks:
  1. Flaine is a semi-pedestrian resort: parking in the village center is paid during the season. However, you have 1 hour and 30 minutes of free access to load/unload your vehicle in front of your accommodation.
  2. Free parking: The Col de Pierre Carrée (PCol) long-term parking lot is completely free . It is located just at the entrance to the pass before the descent to the resort. Free shuttle buses run throughout the day between this parking lot and the different levels of the resort (Flaine Forêt, Flaine Forum).
