Every evening you'll return to your accommodation, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the various local activities. The Aure and Louron valleys offer a wealth of winter activities. Being close to four ski resorts—Saint-Lary-Soulan, Peyragudes, Val Louron, and Piau-Engaly—you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to adding some skiing sessions to your free time.

No Risk Laser: Between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. During this early afternoon, you'll follow in the footsteps of Martin Fourcade in laser biathlon. You won't have skis, but you'll find plenty to get into the spirit of the game!
You will need to demonstrate precision and concentration, but also endurance; you will need to manage your efforts as best as possible.
Day 1 -
Snowshoe Day

Between 10 am and 4 pm, at a leisurely pace, you'll set off for a day of snowshoeing. Whether in the forest, along ridges, or in search of a high-altitude lake, the possibilities are numerous. Your guide will decide the area on the day based on snow conditions and the weather.
If the snow conditions are not sufficient, you will then have small crampons under your walking shoes to enjoy a magnificent winter hike.
Day 2 -
Dog sledding baptism and goat farm

You'll spend some time with the dogs to get to know them. After an initial introduction, you'll climb aboard the dog sled and set off for about 45 minutes of pure thrills. Once settled in the sled, the musher will guide you through the snowy forest.
In the late afternoon you will leave to visit a goat farm and witness the milking of the goats; this will be an opportunity to buy a piece of cheese for those with a sweet tooth.
Day 3 -
Igloo building and nighttime snowshoeing

You will learn the craft of igloo building. Various techniques can be used to construct an igloo. Depending on the snow conditions, your guide will be there to show you the best techniques.
At the end of the day you will set off again for a walk under the stars, on foot or snowshoes you will enjoy a tasting of a homemade cake and a little mulled wine before returning to your accommodation.

Wild toboggan run and thermal leisure center

The Wild Sledding event takes place in the morning. You'll put your snowshoes back on to explore a different area where you can (conditions permitting) try your hand at wild sledding. Sliding on your bottom, with a canvas bag or a shovel-shaped sled, through the trees, in the powder snow – there's plenty of fun to be had.
To recover from all these emotions, you can enjoy a more relaxing moment in the afternoon at a thermal spa. The warm waters will soothe you.

To conclude your stay, we suggest you freely visit the charming Pyrenean village of Arreau and enjoy its colourful market.
