Once you've collected your bikes, you'll quickly leave Florence behind and find yourself in a rural setting. You'll then enter the legendary Chianti region and can stop along the way to taste wine at the magnificent Palagio Castle. Your first destination will be Greve in Chianti, where you'll find a lively central square with small shops offering local products. You'll spend the night in a hotel in Greve in Chianti.

You are in the heart of "Chianti Classico" and are cycling along the picturesque Wine Route, which winds through vineyards and hills. Take your time to admire the colors and magnificent landscapes of the Chianti Valley. You will pass through the villages of Mercatale and Panzano before arriving in Radda in Chianti, a charming little medieval village where the walls and the Palazzo del Podestà are still visible. You will spend the night in a hotel in Radda in Chianti.

The exploration of the Chianti region continues towards the village of Gaiole in Chianti. The landscape is dotted with castles and wine estates. We recommend stopping at Meleto Castle or the renowned Brolio Castle to taste the Ricasoli family wines. In the afternoon, you will arrive in the magnificent historic city of Siena, proud of its traditions and still retaining a medieval atmosphere. It's impossible not to fall under the spell of the city center's unique ambiance... The highlight of your trip will be the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in the world! You will spend the night in a hotel in Siena.

Take some time to finish your visit to Siena before setting off on today's stage, which runs partly along the Via Francigena. You'll arrive in Monteriggioni, a village in a quintessential Tuscan setting, surrounded by almost perfectly preserved medieval walls, complete with towers and two gates. The day's cycling will end in Colle Val d'Elsa, a village known as the Bohemia of Italy: crystal production in the Val d'Elsa began in the 15th century and remains the most important in Italy to this day.

Today, you'll head towards the iconic village of San Gimignano, which overlooks the entire Elsa River valley from its hilltop perch. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, San Gimignano is crossed by the Via Francigena and boasts 13 medieval towers. The wealth of the families who built them was directly proportional to the tower's width and height. You'll finish the day's journey with a climb to Volterra, an ancient Etruscan city that became Roman, whose Roman amphitheater is truly breathtaking!

The last day of your Tuscan trip will be more relaxed. The landscape gradually changes, with increasingly gentle hills as you approach the Arno Valley. You'll begin with a pleasant descent, passing through quiet little villages to Pontedera. This town is the birthplace of the Vespa, a symbol of the Italian Dolce Vita. If you have time, you can visit the museum housed in the former production building. Afterward, you'll take a short train journey to Pisa (train ticket not included). You'll spend the night in a hotel in Pisa.

Take the time to explore the famous and luminous Piazza dei Miracoli, with its Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery. Keep in mind that Pisa is much more than just a Leaning Tower; it's a magnificent city where you can stroll through the historic center and walk along the river. The stay concludes after breakfast at the hotel in Pisa.
